FRC Team 498 l The Cobra Commanders

In May, we competed in the qualifier 1. Our three robots competed hard, learning from our many challenges and successes. 498A ranked 1st, 498B ranked 3 and 498E ranked 13th. This was the first competition for Cobra Evolution and we couldn’t be more proud!

498A captained alliance 1 and picked , and . 498B captained alliance 3 and picked , Cobra Evolution and B-Bot. It was amazing playing with everyone. In the end 498A and alliance 1 took home the win!

Join us THIS FRIDAY for our inaugural PUSD FIRST Expo at Cactus High School! Learn about the robotics programs available to K-12 students in Peoria Unified and drive our FRC robots!

Last week we wrapped up our regular season at the 2026 FIRST Championship in Houston!

Our Impact Team connected with teams from around the world during the Impact Exchange and delivered a strong presentation to judges, sharing the growth of our programs and the work we do in our community.

For the championship, we REBUILT an entirely new robot. Despite early rigidity challenges during qualification, our drive team and pit crew pushed through every obstacle and kept improving match after match. After two long days, we found ourselves ranked 13 of 75 in the Johnson Division.

We were honored to be selected as the first pick of the #2 Alliance Captain , joining forces with and . Together, we battled through playoffs and finished as Johnson Division Semifinalists.

To our mentors, parents, sponsors, alumni, and everyone who cheered us on this season — thank you. Your support made every rebuild, every late night, and every moment on and off the field possible.

Since our brand-new subteam's debut in January, Cobra EVO has been working hard on their goals. They successfully redesigned the Kitbot using materials we had on hand! Together they programmed their robot, using Duel in the Desert as an opportunity to learn how to tune and test! Since Duel, they've been hard at work designing their own robot that will debut during the offseason! We can't wait to see what they build!
