Golf got lost in the technology somewhere.
The sound. The feel. The challenge. Somewhere along the way it all got watered down.
So I’ve been playing persimmon. Not always, just sometimes. And it’s changed how I see the game.
It’s hard to hit it well. The course plays different. You can’t swing for the fences, so it comes back to what golf has always really been about: solid contact and rhythm. And when you catch one? Nothing feels like it. Nothing sounds like it.
Golf will always be the greatest game ever played. But I think it needs to get back in touch with its roots.
Try it sometime.
Would you play a round with persimmon? 👇
