Dear Grand Forks Youth Fastpitch Families, Players, and Coaches,
As the 2026 summer and fall season comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. After this year as director, I've decided to step down, and I couldn't do that without telling you what this program has meant to me.
To our players: watching you grow this year has been the best part of the job. Keep working hard, keep supporting your teammates, and keep loving this game. Every one of you made our program better.
To our coaches: thank you for the evenings, weekends, and early mornings you gave up. You taught these athletes much more than softball. You taught them how to compete with character, and that will stay with them long after the season ends.
To our families: none of this happens without you. Thank you for the rides, the DIBS, the state tournament help, and the cheering from the bleachers. You gave our athletes a community to be proud of.
I'm proud of what we built together, including hosting the 2026 State Tournament which we haven't had in many years. I'm confident the program is in good hands with, and I'll be cheering from the stands.
It has been an honor to serve as your director. Thank you for trusting me with this program and with your kids.
With gratitude,
DaLee Wilkinson
