☀️ GJHSA August Spectacular – Beat the Heat! ☀️

With unseasonably hot temperatures expected for our August Spectacular Show on August 8–9, the Grand Junction Horse Show Association is making a few adjustments to help keep everyone comfortable while still looking show-ready!

✅ Short sleeve show shirts will be permitted this weekend.
Please note: Tank tops and T-shirts are not permitted. Exhibitors should continue to wear appropriate show attire.

🥪💧 We're also excited to announce that lunch and cold drinks will be provided each day for all exhibitors, courtesy of our amazing sponsor, Country Club Pet Resort! Thank you for helping us keep our exhibitors fueled and hydrated throughout the weekend.

🐴 GJHSA Arena Etiquette Reminder 🐴

As we get ready for the Summer Celebration Show, we want to remind all exhibitors to help keep our warm-up arenas safe, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone.

Warm-Up Arena Guidelines

🔸 Never stop or stand in traffic lanes.
🔸 Do not travel against the flow of traffic.
🔸 Be aware of riders around you and communicate when passing.
🔸 Keep gates clear and enter/exit the arena safely.

Below are some examples. One for reining/cowhorse and the other for performance classes.

Remember, good arena etiquette helps prevent accidents, reduces stress for horses and riders, and creates a positive experience for everyone.
