⛳ How many golf balls do YOU lose in a round?

Ever finish a round and realize you somehow started with three sleeves of golf balls and came home with… two?

According to Shot Scope data reported by Golf Monthly, the number of golf balls lost during a round varies quite a bit depending on handicap:

🏌️ 5-handicap: about 0.9 balls per round
⛳ 15-handicap: about 2.8 balls per round
🌲 25-handicap: about 5.6 balls per round

That means a 25-handicap golfer could be losing more than six times as many balls as a 5-handicap golfer over the course of a round.

And let's be honest… “lost” can mean a lot of things in golf.

Sometimes it's a majestic drive into the trees.

Sometimes it's a perfectly struck iron that mysteriously disappears.

Sometimes you KNOW it's in the rough, but after five minutes of searching, you start wondering if the golf ball has legally changed its identity and moved to another county.

And then there are those shots where you watch the ball land, walk directly toward it… and somehow still can't find it.

Be honest: How many golf balls do you usually lose in 18 holes?

And if you're a low-handicap golfer who says “I don't lose any,” we're going to need to see your scorecard.
