Introducing šMember Mondayš
Meet McKayla! Sheās been part of the Balanced Movement community since September 2023 and recently celebrated an incredible milestoneā400 classes! š
Originally from Kersey, Colorado, McKayla spends her days helping grow Pins and Needles Acupuncture alongside her husband, Holland. When sheās not at the studio, youāll likely find her tending to her collection of nearly 100 houseplants, exploring new places, spending time with her Australian Shepherds, Gertie and Koda, or enjoying a good cup of coffee with friends.
McKaylaās favorite classes are Barre, Boot Camp, and Buti because they challenge her, empower her, and keep movement fun. What started as a guest visit to a Barre class quickly turned into a practice she now considers an important part of her life.
Weāre grateful to have you in our community, McKayla! š

Introducingš Instructor Spotlight Thursday š
Heather (she/her) is the owner of Balanced Movement and believes yoga is about more than movementāitās about building the resilience and awareness needed to navigate lifeās challenges. Sheās known for creating a welcoming environment filled with growth, curiosity, and plenty of laughter, Heather encourages students to approach challengesāwhether in a yoga pose or everyday lifeāas opportunities to learn, adapt, and grow.
Through consistent practice, her students often experience increased mobility, greater confidence in their bodies, and a new perspective on obstacles.
Heather also holds certifications as a 500-Hour Yoga Teacher, Barre Instructor, BUTI Movement Instructor, Level 1 CrossFit Trainer, and Level 2 Olympic Weightlifting Coach.
Before opening the studio, Heather worked as a Veterinary Technician, a path inspired by her lifelong love of animals and her upbringing on a farm in Yuma, Colorado.
When sheās not teaching or running the studio, youāll likely find her searching for interesting rocks, identifying birds on a hike, or adding another plant to a collection thatās already outgrown its designated space. šŖؚ暦
