✨Race night recap:

We didn’t have much luck in senior tonight, but we have to give credit to our driver. After running a whole race with the wrong tire on the front 🥴, it’s impressive that she ran it as hard and finished as well as she did. We had one white line call, which Sophia knows better than to get..but this is how she learns and doesn’t do it again.

Sophia ran the best race she has run all season in Light 160. In the words of the other parents at then track “she drove the heck out of that car!” Once she perfects that line she will have it mastered.

Tonight’s race was features only. Our driver is still having trouble with her line in one of her turns, but we broke top 5 with a 4th place finish in Senior Honda. We didn’t fair so well in Light 160, but there was a problem with the car setup. We will head back to the drawing board and get it back up to speed for the next one. Super proud of Sophia’s progress. Onward and upward baby girl, we are almost there!!

Race day recap:

Our heats started out a little rough. Sophia always does better without a break in between weeks. We started in the back for both features and she managed to get some passing points and run a little better line in Senior Honda. We weren’t so lucky in light 160 but she is improving on her ability to handle the pressure from the drivers behind her. She stayed on her line and didn’t back down from the bumps she was taking. We will continue to work on running that line while also giving the cars a boost in power for next week. When we started this season we told Sophia our only expectation from her was to see improvement with each race, and she is giving us that. Onward and upward little girl, we are gonna get there before the season is over❤️.
