Michelle is a busy wife & working mom of two teenage boys. Her son Carter, asked her to start Jiu Jitsu so they could do it together. What began as something she was doing for someone else, turned into something she truly loved for herself. She discovered something inside of her that she didn’t realize was there.

Michelle has been so consistent with her training ever since she stepped foot on the mats. Always showing up with a smile on her face and a willingness to learn. She is a great training partner that is highly sought after by all the ladies and as you can see, so loved by her incredible family.

We are so proud of you Michelle, blue looks good on you!

Congratulations Shana & Kiley on their promotions tonight!

What a special day it was here at Crest. Kiley received her GREEN BELT, officially reaching her last youth belt before entering into the adult colors. Kiley has been with Crest literally from the beginning… having accidentally walked into the gym on our opening day back in 2018. Eight years of hard work and dedication behind this color she now wears. We couldn’t be more proud of you Kiley.

Shana is Crest’s FIRST female BROWN BELT! Wow, what an incredible accomplishment! Shana, you made Crest history tonight. Shana has been with us since her very first day of training jiu jitsu. Throughout the years, Shana has shown her dedication to the sport. She has competed multiple times at white, blue and purple belt, constantly testing herself and seeking improvement everyday. She is an amazing training partner, friend, author, and mother. We couldn’t be more honored for Shana to be the one to make history with us tonight.

Carter has officially made it through all of the kid’s belts and this will be his last belt before he enters into the adult belts next year.

It is a huge accomplishment to make it through all of those belts and a testament to Carter’s dedication and hard work he’s put in over the years. We couldn’t be more proud of you.

Congratulations Carter on placing 3rd at Kids IBJJF Pans! Carter fought two tough matches in a stacked bracket. We are beyond proud of you always!

We are also extremely proud of Kiley & Michael for stepping out onto the mats to test themselves against the best kids in the world. Medals don’t make you champions, your attitude and character does. We are so proud to be represented by such amazing kids.

Kait & Felice traveled to Fredericksburg, VA this weekend to compete at the IBJJF Virginia Open. Kait won 1st place in her division, winning both of her matches in a dominant fashion | Adult White Belt Division.

Felice placed 3rd in her division and the open class in the Adult Purple Belt Division.
