One of the most accomplished players in EEVB history was Adrian Carambula. Adrian first played EEVB events in south Florida. As he became a force on the East Coast he was a regular at most larger EEVB events before advancing to the pro tour and then to the Olympics (Rio 2016, Japan 2020, & Paris 2024). Now a coach for the Norwegian Olympic Beach Volleyball team. This EEVB magazine article is from 2011, before his advancement to 3 straight Olympics.

With the WNBA playoffs in progress it is always fun to remember star basketball player turned beach volleyball star Kelly Schumacher. Best story is we were having a meeting of Volley America New England promoters at Geno Auriemma's food court in Mohegan Sun Casino. It was decorated with photos of the UCONN women's basketball team. Looking a past player photos we came across a photo form one of the championship years and said "Isn't that Kelly?" I snapped a photo of it and texted it to her. By the end of the meeting she verified yes it was her before she embarked on her WNBA career and then on to her beach volleyball journey. :)

We’re swapping out our beach towels for a mat on Saturday October 17th! Join us at Studio 60 | Farmingdale for a Peach Lab mat class at 12pm!

Peach Lab is a glute, core, and lower body focused class, which makes it a great complement for volleyball players who rely so much on jumping, lateral movement, balance, stability, and lower-body strength.

Anyone from the EEVB community who has never been to Studio 60 before can attend completely free using code 1STCLASSFREE when booking!

Head to studio60li.com to register!

One of the best EEVB supporters over the years was Janis Dixon from Virginia who played in top women's open events up and down the east coast.
