Last week, I had the opportunity to spend time in California đâïžvisiting my brother. As a business owner, stepping away for a week isnât always easy, but this trip reminded me just how blessed I amđ„č.
While I was gone, the coaches at Fitness Escape stepped up in every way imaginable. They handled day-to-day operations, coached classes, supported our members, and made sure everything continued running smoothly. Most importantly, they cared for our gym and our community as if it were their own.
One of the greatest signs of a healthy business isnât how well it runs when the owner is present⊠itâs how well it runs when theyâre away. Strong businesses are built by strong people, and I am incredibly grateful for Lisa, Christy, Melissa, Cody, Emma, Brenda and Kevin. Their dedication, professionalism, and heart are what make Fitness Escape so special.

Aging Gracefully đ€© Takes Work!
Last week I had the privilege of training one of my clients, Amanda, alongside her Aunt Linda who was in town visiting for graduation weekâŠ.and Iâm still thinking about it.
Linda turns 79 in July⊠and let me tell you, she showed up ready to WORK. đȘ
We lifted weights, used suspension TRX training , worked band, even did some cardio on the rower, and had a lot of fun doing it. But what stood out most wasnât just how well she moved⊠it was why.
For the past 15 years, Linda has committed to taking care of her body, strength training twice a week, yoga twice a week, and staying active with things like golfâłïž. Not perfectly her whole life, but consistently where it counts.
Her reason?
She didnât want to age into feeling fragile. She wanted to stay strong, pick up her feet, move confidently, and not live in fear of falling.
