I always wanna pursue a different hunt. Somewhere new. A unique challenge. This adventure took us out onto the prairie in search of a pothole giant! Out here many of the lakes don't have names..... many don't have landing... but some have big walleyes!

Ross and Roger Grothe topped the Adult/Child division at this year's Walleye Shootout, and their 52.3 pounds was good enough for 3rd place overall too. A father and son who can flat out fish. Thanks to Tom Boley Fishing and the Walleye Now app for presenting this award.

I don’t troll as much as I used to but I’m constantly looking for ways to be more efficient in trolling. One I’ve been doing a bunch this summer is using a really heavy snap weight in conjunction with a worm walker. This allows me to watch my bait while I troll.
