In battle, the strike is not the end.
True mastery is staying aware even after the sword falls.

I’m excited to share that I’ll be starting a new Tai Chi & Qigong class at the Hendersonville Racquet Club beginning March 23rd.

This one is a little different than how I’ve traditionally taught.

In a traditional Tai Chi setting, the focus is often on learning a full form—long sequences of movements that take time to understand, memorize, and refine. There’s a lot of value in that approach, especially when you’re studying the art in depth, but it can also be a barrier for people who are just looking to move better, feel better, and reduce stress.

For this class, I’m taking a different approach.

Instead of focusing on a long form, we’ll be working with short, repeating movement sequences combined with breath work. The goal is to create something more like a yoga-style session where you can step in, follow along, and experience the benefits right away—without needing to remember choreography or understand the deeper applications behind the movements.

We’ll focus on:
• Balance and coordination
• Breathing and relaxation
• Joint mobility and posture
• Moving in a slow, controlled, and intentional way

Tai Chi, at its core, is about how you move through space and how your body interacts with the world around you. This class keeps that idea, but presents it in a way that’s accessible, practical, and immediately useful.

If you’ve ever been curious about Tai Chi but weren’t sure where to start, this is a great entry point.

Class Times:
Mondays 6–7 PM
Thursdays 5–6 PM

Held at the Hendersonville Racquet Club
Open to HRC members and non-members alike

If you’re interested or have questions, feel free to reach out.

Some moments resist control.
No strategy fixes them. No intensity bends them.

There is a quiet strength in recognizing that.

Acceptance is not surrender.
It is clarity.
It removes the noise of resistance so energy can move where it actually matters.

When something cannot be changed, fighting it only drains the mind.
When it is seen clearly, the next step becomes simple.

Calm first.
Then action.
