Happy Juneteenth! Juneteenth is a time to honor freedom, reflect on history, and celebrate the strength, resilience and contributions of Black communities.

As we commemorate Juneteenth, we invite our community to learn, reflect and take meaningful action—whether that’s supporting local Black-owned businesses, attending a community celebration, learning more about the history of Juneteenth, or spending time in connection with one another.

At the Y, we believe stronger communities are built when everyone feels they belong and has the opportunity to thrive.

Watch this video for ways to celebrate Juneteenth and continue building community—today and every day.

A little friendly competition and a lot of team spirit! 🎉
Tonight, the Hendersonville Member Engagement Team traded the membership desk for Trivia Night at Bold Rock Brewery! As the team that welcomes members, guests, and visitors through our doors each day, it was great to spend some time together building relationships, sharing laughs, and strengthening the teamwork that helps us serve our Y community.
A special thank you to our teammates at the Reuter Family YMCA for supporting us and covering the branch so we could enjoy an evening of team building together. We are grateful to be part of a Y association that values collaboration, connection, and supporting one another.
The stronger our team, the better we can serve our members. 💙

After completing LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, John Love experienced firsthand the power of community, encouragement, and healing during the cancer survivorship journey. Now he wants to give back with his Kettlebells for Cancer initiative. On top of completing 333 kettlebell swings during National Cancer Survivors Month in June, John’s goal is to fund the next two LIVESTRONG classes at the YMCA, helping more survivors access the same life-changing experience that meant so much to him.

Also, 10% of ALL purchases between June 12-14 at Whit's Frozen Custard in North Asheville and South Asheville will be donated to this campaign.
