See Rescue Streamer

SeeRescueStreamer’s are military-approved/adopted emergency signaling devices (used by SpaceX) Flares burn out. Dye markers dissipate.

The SEE/RESCUE Streamer is a patented/military-approved emergency signaling technology that is used by military organizations and outdoor enthusiasts worldwide. New lighted SEE/RESCUE streamer's now provide day and night signaling capability. The problem:

•Survivors lost at sea and on land aren't visible to search and rescue at standard altitude (500') and speed (300 mph):
• Rescued survivors universally report that search and rescue flew over them repeatedly days before they were found.
• There is no way to know how many victims weren't seen.
• Conventional signaling methods aren't continuous. EPIRB batteries run down.
• Conventional signaling methods need to be activated when searchers are near. They can't be activated by unconscious survivors. The Solution:

SEE/RESCUE Streamer
• Activates automatically on contact with water (SDIRS version).
• Works day and night.
• Only technology that makes survivors visible to air rescue continuously until they’re rescued.
• No combustible chemicals to fail or dissipate.
• Extremely portable (size of a sunglass case).
• Rigorously tested and approved for use by all branches of the U.S. Military.
• Proven effective. To date, the SEE/RESCUE Streamer has saved several lives.

“I still carry a dumb phone. Not because I hate technology—but because I want to control my tools, not be controlled by them.” Fun discussion with a fellow anti-tech guy - and he has the background from being in the trenches as a middle school administrator.

Had a blast kicking off the first ever Invention Convention at a well-known Honolulu Elementary School. I revved the kids up to think creatively and solve a problem! I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with!

Congratulations and thanks to my PhD advisor, Dr. John Sinton, for his submarine volcanic glass collection being included in The Smithsonian Institution! (My dissertation ocean floor lavas from Galapagos are a small part of John’s extensive global research collection.)

Smithsonian. National Museum of Natural Science.
Sea Floor Rock Collection:
Dredged and cored specimens from mid-ocean ridges, seamounts, and fracture zones. Areas best represented include the Galápagos Spreading Center, Juan de Fuca Ridge, and the North Atlantic Ocean. Includes large collections of basaltic glass and manganese nodules. , ,
