It’s Helmet Awareness Week! 🪖🐴✨

A properly fitted riding helmet can make all the difference, so let’s keep those noggins protected! 🧠💪 Be sure to check your helmet’s fit regularly, and remember to replace it after a fall or significant impact—even if it looks perfectly fine on the outside. ⚠️

Sunset Ridge is currently working on replacing some of our older helmets. If you’d like to help support our program by purchasing a helmet for us, please let me know! We’d be so grateful. 💗🙏

🐴💕 THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT IS HERE! 💕🐴

We’ve had something new in the works at Sunset Ridge, and we are SO excited to finally share it…

✨ Introducing SUNSET RIDGE BARN CREW! ✨

A brand-new Thursday morning program created just for homeschool middle & high schoolers!

Barn Crew is for kids who love animals, want to learn what life at a real working barn is actually like, AND could use a place to meet other homeschoolers and build friendships along the way. 🩷

Each week, Barn Crew members will spend two hours at the barn getting hands-on experience with things like:

🐴 Grooming, leading & safely handling horses
🪣 Feeding and caring for our animals
🐷 Helping with everyday farm chores
🌾 Learning what goes into keeping a barn and farm running
💕 Building confidence and responsibility
👯 And, just as importantly, having time to hang out, socialize and make new friends!

This is NOT a riding class — it’s about getting hands-on with the horses and other animals and experiencing real barn life! Riding lessons may be added separately for students who would like additional saddle time.

☀️ Thursday Mornings beginning on 9/24
⏰ 2-hour drop-off program
🎒 Middle & High School Homeschoolers
🌧️ Rain or shine — there’s ALWAYS something to do at the barn!

$25 per week
OR
$120 for a flexible 6-visit package!

And because we know homeschool schedules aren’t always the same from week to week, your 6 visits do NOT have to be used consecutively. 🙌

No horse experience is necessary. Just come ready to learn, help, get a little dirty, meet some new people and become part of the Barn Crew. 🐴💕

Playgroup runs 10:30 AM–12 PM, but don’t worry about being right on time—you’re welcome to arrive a little later or head out early. Come play for whatever works for your little one! 💕

After such an amazing turnout for our very first Playgroup, we’re SO excited to do it again!

Join us at Sunset Ridge Farm on Tuesday, September 15 for a morning made just for little horse lovers! 🐴✨

💲 $15 for the first child | $10 for each additional sibling

💕 Come when it works for you! Pony & Me is designed to be relaxed and flexible. Drop in anytime between 10:30 and 12:00 and stay for as much or as little of the playgroup as works for your family. There’s no need to arrive right at 10:30 or stay until noon!

📚🐴 HOMESCHOOL DAYS ARE COMING TO SUNSET RIDGE FARM! 🐴📚

We are SO excited to bring back our Homeschool Days this fall! Designed especially for students in 1st–5th grade, this 5-week program is perfect for kids who love horses, animals, and learning by actually doing! 💕🐎

Beginning Thursday, September 24th, students will join us at the barn each Thursday for hands-on learning all about horses!

Over our 5 weeks together, we’ll explore:
🐴 Horse safety, handling & terminology
🪮 Grooming and grooming tools
🌾 Daily horse care, feeding & barn routines
❤️ The many ways horses help humans
🎉 And we’ll finish with a special Barn Fun Day, including the opportunity to try a mini riding lesson!

📚 Grades: 1st–5th
📅 Thursdays, Sept. 24–Oct. 22
⏰ 10:30–11:30 AM (final class until 12:00)
💲 $100 per student for all 5 weeks
👨‍👩‍👧 Family discounts available upon request

We had SUCH an amazing morning at our very first Pony & Me Playgroup!!! 🐴💕✨

Thank you SO much to everyone who came out and spent the morning with us! Seeing all of those sweet little faces exploring the farm, loving on the ponies, playing, creating, and just having FUN made my heart so happy! 🥹💗

We have been so excited to bring this new program to Sunset Ridge, and today was everything I hoped it would be and more!

A HUGE thank you to all of the families who joined us for our very first one and helped make it such a special morning. We absolutely cannot wait to do it again!!! 🐴🌸
