These classes are a supportive group class designed specifically for 18+ skaters... Learn to navigate the skatepark safely with a group of other skaters just like you, in a private indoor facility.

Boy, did I believe in myself. If you know me...you know.

I started Surf City Skates in my garage downtown Huntington Beach because I wanted to help people fix their skates. People would always ask me where I got my skates, for years, when I skated the Boardwalk. So I decided to create a skate company to help them get skates. So I sold Sure Grip 2nds out of my garage, like literal garage skate sales. Did I get so much s**t from the other shops at the time...

But hey, the skate-garage sales were going great. So, I bought a $100 pop-up canopy, signed up to downtown Huntington Beach's Tuesday night Street Fair with the pennies I had. I was representing Sure Grip for the skatepark, and I asked if I could sell their new-old stock stacked in their basement or like 40 years. Amazing stuff, I knew it would sell. And it did. They, and another skate industry legend, John McFadden, supported me and let me sell their skate stuff out of my booth, even though I didn't "have a brick and mortar". That was the beginning....and here we are. I'm so grateful for all the years. Can't wait to share with you all what's coming. Thank YOU ALL for all of the support over the last 11 years. ROLLERCademy is officially soft-launching our Indoor Skatepark Soft Launch Day for Women 18+ this Sunday, April 26th at Intro2Skateboarding in Huntington Beach — featuring Coach Dirty Deborah Harry!.

We’re opening up 2 Intro Classes: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

Plus: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Guided Open Practice + Private Add-On Block

This is our Skatepark Fundamentals & Intro to Skatepark -
a 90-minute beginner class for women who are ready to take their skating into the skatepark environment for the first time in a supportive, structured, and safety-focused way.
