🌊 SOMETHING BIG IS GROWING FROM THE WORK WE’VE BEEN DOING TOGETHER.
For years, Adaptive Freedom Foundation has created opportunities for people to get on the water, try something new, challenge themselves, build confidence and experience what can happen when the right support turns “I can’t” into “let’s try.”
But we’ve always known the vision was bigger than the water.
Because access matters.
Wellness matters.
Community matters.
Belonging matters.
And every person deserves places where they can feel strong, cared for, challenged, inspired and seen.
That belief is what led us to create Waves of Ability.
On September 26, Marine Stadium in Long Beach will become a gathering place for people with and without disabilities — athletes, families, caregivers, volunteers, wellness providers, adaptive sports organizations, businesses, civic leaders and community members — all coming together around possibility.
Waves of Ability is not about building a separate space for people with disabilities.
It is about showing what can happen when we build community differently from the beginning — with access, participation and belonging at the center.
And as Southern California prepares to welcome the world for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we believe Long Beach has an extraordinary opportunity to help demonstrate what an inclusive legacy can look like long after the final medal is awarded.
We want our AFF community to be part of building it.

Ripples of Change. Waves of Possibility.
This is what happens when one opportunity creates a ripple — and a community comes together to turn it into a wave.
