Huntington Beach, CA

Jerry Madrid began shaping skateboards in his parents' garage in the late 1960s to stay busy when the Southern California waves weren't good enough to surf. After developing some of the first modern concaves to hit the market, Madrid produced a series of iconic collaborations throughout the '80s, including the Madrid x Valterra Skateboard ridden by Marty McFly in the original Back to the Future mo

I'd only been at Madrid roughly a week before I reached out to about collaborating on a board. To my stokedness he obliged, and here we are several years later, teaming up on our third project together.

I caught the trailer for the official Big Boys documentary at least over a decade ago, and like many, over the years just came to accept it may never see the light of day.

Well and crew have finally made our cinematic, skateboarding, musical dreams come true - and we've only another month before we can all get eyes on this amazing project. *Spoiler- I got to see it. It's great*

We're in Austin TX, June 21st, ringing in with the premiere screening of You Can Color Outside The Lines: The Story of the Big Boys

Paying loving tribute to their original Zorlac model which dropped in '83 - we've got 83 boards on assorted stains - and an exclusive variant strictly for | Shape based on Tim's hand-cut custom of the original deck.

Hope to see you there - Skate for fun! 🖤
