A big day of racing in Brown County State Park with our DINO Mountain Biking series friends. This was the free race we offer to our Devo community to encourage giving racing a shot each year, and we had a great turnout. Big milestones for many Devo riders, from first elite podiums to successfully completing their first race. Despite some navigation issues and some crashes, everyone made it safely to the end and with big smiles on their faces.
Huge thank you to parents, coaches, support crew members, and Devo alumni who were encouraging, helpful, and excited for whatever success meant yesterday.

This is peak Thursday nights. 60+ kids, parents, coaches, mountain bikes, wonderful trails, and beautiful weather. Huge thank you to the Indy Trail Collective for having Town Run dialed. If you’re not already a member of theirs, consider their minimal membership fee a token of gratitude for maintaining more than 40 miles of single track in the greater Indianapolis area for us all to enjoy.

Monday vibe check: Sleepy, sore, hungry, full hearts.
We kick off every season with a two-day team camp in Hoosier National Forest and Brown County State Park to bond as a team, dust the cobwebs off our MTB skills, and have some fun in the woods.
We saw kids tackle obstacles that many were afraid were beyond them, new and old friendships deepened, and families enjoying nature, bikes, and community together. We love our bikes, but it's all the other stuff we're after when it comes to community building and character development.
This camp is a ton of work! Huge thank you to dedicated volunteers running the programming on the bikes and camp logistics, and to the parents who make this happen for your kiddos. We hope you had a blast.

The 2026 season is officially underway. 105 juniors from 8-18. 30% female, 40 teenagers, and 70% returning rate from last year. Really excited to see our strongest group yet develop skills, character, and relationships through riding bikes.

Hello Midwest Devo supporters! We would like to share a leadership update at Midwest Devo.
Following two successful terms as Board President, Marissa is transitioning to an at-large role, and Andrew Hoffman will be stepping in as Board President. Marissa will remain active and engaged as a coach, community builder, and your kid’s biggest fan, and we, as a board, are committed to ensuring that our programming, events, and structure remain consistent.
Marissa has led Midwest Devo through tremendous growth and impact. In 2026, we will welcome 103 kids, our largest group ever, with 30% being young women, a commitment Marissa has worked hard to achieve. She has championed our mission to get more kids on bikes and helped build the welcoming, accessible, and thriving community for our riders, parents, and support crew members we are proud of today.
Midwest Devo is stronger because of her leadership and commitment. Our riders have benefited, and we are better because she said yes to serving. Please join us in thanking Marissa for four years of steady leadership.
We are excited for the season ahead and confident in the strength of this community.
Midwest Devo Board
Ps…Marissa will share what Devo has meant to her and what she’s looking forward to in the future through a personal post in the coming days. Stay tuned!

Parents and coaches build their own friendships and have their own fun at Midwest Devo, which is as good a reason to get your kid involved as it is to hope they'll have fun. There are very few youth sports that allow you, as a parent, to be equally involved right alongside your kids. Looking for a bike and youth sport loving community, this might the place for you both.
2026 Member Registration is open until 3/1, and we'd love to have you. You can learn all you need to know on our website, including watching a video from our intro meeting last week. If you still have questions, hit the contact us button and send us a note.
Get your kids to staging and join us in the pits. We're ready to race into a great season.
