The Indianapolis Colts have been missing one of their most important offensive weapons, and Tyler Warren's absence has been impossible to ignore.

Despite missing the last two games, the talented tight end still leads the team with 30 receptions, adding 213 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season.

His ability to create opportunities in the passing game gives Indianapolis an element that has been sorely missed during its recent struggles.

With a divisional showdown against Jacksonville approaching, Warren's potential return could provide exactly the kind of offensive boost the Colts need.

Daniel Jones is facing an uncertain future in Indianapolis as the Colts begin reshaping their roster. Despite signing a two-year, $88 million contract this offseason, the veteran quarterback could find himself part of the team's rebuilding decisions following the departures of DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson.

Jones has struggled through the early stages of the 2026 season, completing just 59% of his passes while averaging 5.8 yards per attempt, with four touchdowns and seven interceptions. Releasing him after the season would create $35.2 million in dead money but save Indianapolis $11.6 million against the 2027 salary cap.

Head coach Shane Steichen continues to support Jones as the starting quarterback, while Jones insists his focus remains on preparing for Sunday's matchup against Jacksonville. With a new general manager expected to reshape the roster, his long-term future remains an open question.

The Indianapolis Colts are entering a new era after trading away franchise cornerstones DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson. Head coach Shane Steichen addressed the departures for the first time Wednesday, praising both veterans for their leadership, competitiveness and contributions to the organization.

With Indianapolis sitting at 2-5 and general manager Chris Ballard already dismissed, the moves signal a significant shift toward rebuilding. Steichen emphasized that younger players will now have opportunities to step into larger roles as the Colts begin reshaping their roster.

More changes could be coming before the November 10 trade deadline. Josh Downs has reportedly requested a trade, while Grover Stewart and Keenan Allen have emerged as potential candidates. The Colts are accumulating draft capital and creating financial flexibility as they prepare for the future.
