Wild bison romping in Lamar Valley, Yellowstone 🦬
Truly nothing prepares you for seeing this for the first time. Lamar Valley is home to the northern herd's breeding grounds, and there's a reason people call it America's Serengeti. Stay at least 25 yards away, even when they look calm.
Planning a Yellowstone or Jackson Hole trip? Bear spray at , winter gear at tetonbcrentals.com.

This little bear gets it… Wyoming Auto and Truck Parts has that NAPA know-how. Visitors to Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park often ask us if they need to carry bear spray when they’re here in town walking around. Our answer is simple: Probably not! While it is uncommon to see bear in Jackson and the surrounding towns, especially compared to the Grand Tetons, the chances aren’t zero! None of us carry bear spray IN town, but it’s always close! Different story if you’re going into the Parks, every adult should 💯 be carrying bear spray AND know how to use it.

No wild animal has ever been so loved, and none has drawn such notoriety and concern.
This is a story of a grizzly bear who became something bigger than herself.

No Grand Tetons in there but still better than city traffic! This week in Jackson Hole is going to be b-e-a-utiful for some fall hiking and sightseeing! The leaves are changing, wildlife is out and about, a little fewer people, warm days, cool nights… can’t beat it.

She ain’t skeered… reminder to not use your loved ones to protect you from bears, carry bear spray! Fall is beautiful hiking in the GYE, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier National Parks, Big Sky, Montana! It’s also hyperphagia season for the bears. Eating up to 20,000 calories a day and put to 20hrs a day to fatten up before denning for winter, bears can be very food aggressive and defensive of carcasses and berry patches.

Here’s some Fall hiking tips in bear country:
🐻 Carry bear spray, easily accessible
🐻 Hike in groups of 3 or more (sending your spouse ahead doesn’t count!)
🐻 Make noise around blind corners, creeks, thick brush
🐻 stay away from carcasses, circling ravens, or that “dead animal smell” (it’s the wilderness out here)
🐻 ALWAYS stay a minimum of 100yds away from bears
🐻 If a bear charges, use bear spray!

We give hands on training with every bear spray rental (with empty cans!)

Save this to show your friends and family before ya hit the trailhead and send it to the person you’d trick into taking the lead

Those crazy eyes tho! We don’t know the story here but a reminder to stay AT LEAST 25 yards (23 meters) away from Moose in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks! Especially in rut! Also, if you find yourself in this sitch, bear spray also works on moose.

Bluetooth speaker ✅ unsuspecting friend ✅ 😂🤣😂 we def don’t condone this, it’s a good way to get accidentally bear sprayed here in Yellowstone and Grand Teton grizzly country BUUUUUUUUT it sure is funny! Keeping this idea in my back pocket for the next TBR team campout! Seriously tho: if you’re visiting the GYE, Red Lodge, MT, Big Sky, MT, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier National Parks… anywhere in grizzly country, always carry bear spray! Park ranger as well as Bear Aware, the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee, and numerous other groups recommend ONE CAN PER ADULT for anyone visiting, recreating, working, or hiking in bear habitat. It’s not enough to JUST carry bear spray, you should know how to use it and take deescalation steps when/if you encounter a bear on your trip. Don’t let bears deter or scare you, just know what to do and how to be safe!
