Cows go to market on august 12th. We will hang them for 2 weeks. Should see meat early September. Price per pound is $7 hang weight plus butcher fee which is $1 per pound live weight. These are miniatures so the live weight will be around 500 lbs with Hang weight roughly 60%, or around 300 lbs. We sell them by whole/half/quarter. The cows have been grass fed for 2 years. They are finished for the last two months on grain and corn, before butcher. This turns a healthy cow but also allows for a bit more marbling of meat without as much of the gamey taste an all grass fed cow can have.
