Monadnock, is one of the most visually stunning golf courses you’ll ever play. Course architect Brian Silva calls this “the most spectacular setting I’ve ever come across.” (New England Golf Magazine, July/August 1991) Each hole is framed by forests of oak, birch and pine, shielding it from the view of other holes so you never feel crowded. It is, as one writer described it, “like 18 separate gems strung together in a perfect setting.”

This is a course that lives in harmony with its surroundings, spanning acres of natural wetlands that serve not only as hazards to the golfer, but home to a wide variety of wildlife including mink, fox, deer, moose, beaver, otter and the great blue heron. The golf holes themselves stand in striking contrast to the woods and wetlands, with lush bent grass on every tee, fairway and green. What a joy it is to be able to spin a ball off a thick carpet of bent grass, watch it sail through the mountain air and bite into a firm but yielding green. This is golf as it was meant to be!

Meet the Owners of The Shattuck! ⛳
Hilary and Doni purchased The Shattuck Golf Course in 2019, excited to build on what The Shattuck already had to offer.

As locals to the Monadnock region, their vision has always been to create a welcoming, approachable golf experience where players of all levels can feel at home while enjoying the natural beauty of New Hampshire.

In just seven years, they’ve continued to grow The Shattuck, adding Dublin Road Taproom & Eatery, The Attic at The Shattuck Golf Simulator, Shattuck Mini Golf, and more to come!

Through it all, their focus remains simple: excellent customer service, fair and honest golf rates, continued improvements to the course, and a family-friendly atmosphere the community can enjoy year-round.

For Hilary and Doni, it’s all about continuing to make The Shattuck a great place to golf, gather, and enjoy the Monadnock region.

Employee Spotlight: Daigan

If you’ve enjoyed the course over the last couple of years, Daigan has had a hand in it.

Daigan is our Assistant Superintendent and has been part of The Shattuck team for two years. He brings a great attitude to work every day, is always willing to lend a hand, and takes a lot of pride in what he does.

Favorite hole: Hole 13
Favorite piece of equipment: Fairway mower
Favorite recent project: Tee box renovations

A golf course like The Shattuck is really a collection of people who care about the place and the work they do. Daigan is a great example of that.
