Benefits of Playing Beach Volleyball

SVBA offers a tremendous opportunity for juniors to improve their game by becoming proficient in all phases of the game. Instead of training to become the best front row or back row player like many players are forced to while playing the indoor game, you will learn to become proficient at all phases of the game. There are no try outs and no sitting the bench, when you play beach volleyball you play every match and every point. Sand volleyball strengthens your lower body and your core and the sand's shock absorption make injuries a lot less likely and less jarring than the indoor game.

It is with heavy hearts that we remember Stingray alumni Mileena Black, who will be deeply missed by all of us.
From her earliest days in the sand to every moment on and off the court, Mileena brought an unwavering drive, an unforgettable smile, and a truly good heart to everything she did. While we grieve this tremendous loss, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace and watching over the ones she loved most.
Thank you to our entire Stingray family and the OKC volleyball community for wrapping Mileena’s family in love and support. Let’s keep lifting them up during this difficult time.
The link to support her family’s GoFundMe is available in our bio.
Once a Stingray, always a Stingray.
