I pedaled up to the glacier and had a great time!
Customer service is great Shout out to mechanic James for helping me get my bike sorted. I’ll keep coming back for my bike needs and recommend to friends because they seem continually hire nice and knowledgeable folks.
Thanks to Cycle Alaska for hooking me up with a bike short notice. Putting good karma into this bike with an inaugural tour of The Big Island 🌴. Lot of weight on the rear wheel. Held up.
We'd like to place this guest post on your FB page, but wanted to ask permission first.

How easy is the Kupper Bike Rack Mount to install??

This video shows you! Don't watch it. You'll want to buy one. The good news is that they only cost $99.

Bike retailers, resellers, distributors and independent manufacturer reps are welcome. Like, follow and send me a direct message if you have an interest in carrying our incredibly popular #KupperMounts #BikeRacks!

We really enjoyed the bike rentals we had through Cycle Alaska (5 bikes). We were on a cruise and decided to book local versus the overpriced ship excursions. For a fee they drove us up to the Mendenhall Glacier and we cycled the 13 miles (21 kms) back to Juneau. You can see our vlog of the ride here:
Hey Guys,
I'm planning on taking the ferry up from Bellingham with my bicycle this summer. The cost of bring the bicycle on is $118. Has anyone figured out a way to get around this eg. paid a RV $50 to put it on the back, taken the bike apart and carried on "bike parts"

Cheers, Dale
STILL WAITING... please call me asap confirmation # A-1UORFM
I reserved a bike for 8 am today... no bike... I am outside the shop waiting...

Great Weather is Hard to Find....

Not for Trek's Farley 7. Aluminum frame, 1 X 11 Shimano drivetrain, and a Manitou Mastodon fork make this bike a 4 season machine.

Nothing cures cabin fever like getting outside. Do it on a Farley 7!

01/28/2022

This morning Moose, 's Shop Dog and Barketing Manager, stopped by for some of their Friday Donuts. reminded Moose, here in Alaska and extra lights are mandatory this time of year.

Thanks for the fashion advise!

has everything you need to stay warm, dry, and safe during these wet days!

Rain Gear, bike lights, and for those snowy adventures Trek Farley 7 Fatbike (L) just rolled into the shop.

I Went to the Woods: Fending off the cold | Juneau Empire 01/20/2022

I Went to the Woods: Fending off the cold | Juneau Empire

A fantastic article yesterday in the by Jeff Lund a local Southeast Alaskan.

Jeff ends this wonderful piece about the joys of riding his bicycling here in the Southeast by saying,

"Riding a bike is more about fitness now – mental and physical. It’s an inefficient way to get around compared to the internal combustion engine in my other ride, but it’s a much better cardiovascular activity. Rather than just riding around with no real agenda, I have a specific route in mind and a desired workout goal. Though the youthful simplicity is no longer present when I pedal, the fresh air, elevated beats-per-minute and even the numb face is a welcomed distraction."

Finally ending with, "but I should get a fender."

Jeff, we know where you can pick up a fender for this wet weather!
