40 years of Loggerhead. One unforgettable race day!

From the first splash at Carlin Park to the final push across the finish line, the 40th Annual Tampa General Hospital Loggerhead Triathlon was one for the books.

Hundreds of athletes, more than 100 first-time triathletes, longtime Loggerhead competitors, volunteers and spectators came together to celebrate four decades of racing in Jupiter.

40 years later, and Diamond is still crossing the Loggerhead finish line! 💙

Diamond participated in the very first Loggerhead Triathlon 40 years ago and has continued to be part of this race and its history throughout the years.

As we celebrated the 40th Anniversary Tampa General Hospital Loggerhead Triathlon, we caught up with Diamond after she crossed the finish line to hear what that moment felt like and what Loggerhead has meant to her over the past four decades.

Her story is a reminder that Loggerhead is about more than race day. It’s about the athletes, traditions, friendships, and memories that have kept this event going for 40 years.
