Update from the neighborhood 👀🛻
Parked peacefully at his residence is a pickup truck that looks like it just survived a karting apocalypse 😂
Stuffed to the absolute limit with TWO karts, mountains of gear, and vibes that scream “final practice before Time Attack on 1/31”.
Neighbors are confused.
HOA is nervous.
The kart community? Deeply impressed.
It’s not a mess—it’s race-ready packaging. If it’s still holding together, it’s ready to send. 🏁🔥

Cool story from Art Gumpfer below — sharing his email along with the photos and video he sent us.
"You gotta love this. My uncle Ken Sylva of the Drag Association invited my son to do a halftime show at a night drag race. So we took two of my C.R.G. Stock Moto Honda setups and Tom Zaccagnini a long time club member drove my second kart. I left Tom's kart with normal track gearing at a 1.52 ratio , and I threw the biggest front sprocket on Alecs Kart , a monster 19 on front and a 47 on the back I had to add like six links on the chain to make it work. I had no idea of a standing start quarter mile it ended up being a little tall off the line with all that traction no wheel spin at all and he had to slip the clutch and no practice we put the gear on in the staging lanes we only did one run because the return was so bumpy it was scraping the chassis if we had another run he would've known how to slip the clutch and we would've been in the 12 second range easily as it was we ran a 13.29 @94 mph. You can tell by the time slip that the gearing was too tall because between 1000 feet and 1320 he gained 6 miles an hour he should only gain about one mile an hour between that distance at the end he went through at a low RPM in sixth gear so I estimate if I get it right the stock moto would run at 12:50.
Needless to say the spectators were shocked ,
it was fun
Just sharing"

⏰🏁 Reminder: MGKA Time Attack Session — Coming Up Fast! 🏁⏰
📅 Saturday, January 31, 2026 (just two weeks away)
Hard to believe, but we’ll be back on track in two weeks 🤙
If you haven’t already, now’s the time to dust off the kart, check your gear, and get ready for our upcoming MGKA Time Attack Session.
This is a members-focused track session using a solo timed format, perfect for shaking off the off-season rust and getting quality seat time before wheel-to-wheel racing returns.
⚠️ Important: This is not a race event.
There will be no wheel-to-wheel competition — drivers will run individually against the clock with clear passing etiquette enforced for safe, clean laps.
🔥 Session Highlights:
• Solo timed laps
• Multiple timed sessions
• Clean track space, no race pressure
• Focus on consistency, speed, and skill
• Official MGKA Time Attack lap records count 👀
🕢 Schedule:
Gates Open: 7:30 AM
Registration: 8:00 AM
Drivers Meeting: 8:30 AM
🏎️ Classes: TAG Jr • TAG Sr • 125 Shifter
🔄 Track Direction: Counterclockwise
🏆 Awards in the afternoon, followed by open track time for MGKA members to finish the day.
Huge mahalo to Kartoholics for supporting MGKA and local karting on Maui 🙏
📩 Members: Please email us your name and class if you plan to attend so we can finalize the format.
Two weeks out — let’s kick off the season with clean laps, good vibes, and maybe a new personal best 🏁💨
