Ryan Unzicker (El Paso, IL) heads into the final 6 MARS Late Model Championship powered by FK Rod Ends events with his sights set on a second career championship! The chase continues this Friday night at Kankakee.

Unzicker heads into the weekend 77 markers over defending series champion, Jason Feger. After picking up both segments of the "Twisted Twin 25's" at LaSalle Speedway & Event Center over Labor Day weekend, Unzicker now leads the series with 5 victories on the season. The road has been far from easy though as there has been a total of 9 different winners in 18 MARS events contested in 2026.

Jason Feger (Bloomington, IL) heads into the MARS Late Model Championship powered by FK Rod Ends weekend second in series standings!

Feger trails Unzicker by only 77 markers and going into the weekend with it being two race tracks that he has seen a multitude of success at, look for the #25 to make some noise this weekend as he tries to reel in the #24 with 6 nights remaining.

MARS Late Model Championship powered by FK Rod Ends Continues 2026 Season at Kankakee County Speedway and Highland Speedway

With only six nights left on the MARS Late Model Championship powered by FK Rod Ends schedule, every night, every move, and every position is crucial to season-ending points standings. While some are fighting for a championship, or for positioning within the top five, others are fighting to lock down a top-10 position to solidify an additional paycheck at the conclusion of the season. This weekend the hunt continues with the final weekend of single night events for the MARS Late Model tour as we hit the road to Kankakee County Speedway and the World Famous Highland Speedway.
