What a shock to hear this today. Gavin has grown up watching Kyle Busch race and it broke our hearts to have to tell him the news. RIP Kyle. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the entire racing community.❤️‍🩹🏁💔

We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.

Last weekend we were in STL for the next round K.A.R.T. races at World Wide Technology Raceway. Gavin had an absolute BLAST getting his 1st experience driving on an actual speedway! It made mom and dad a little emotional getting to see how incredibly happy he was.

Friday was practice day getting to know the track. Saturday we were met with soggy weather but Gavin loves driving in the rain so we put on rain tires and his rain suit and sent him out. Sunday was a HOT one but he still went out and got ‘er done.

He took 1st both days since unfortunately he was the only cadet registered for the whole weekend so he was racing against himself; you would have never known it though since he still went and raced his heart out. His control and determination to better his race craft amazes me everyday.

Next up: Ozark International Raceway with K.A.R.T. in 2 weeks!
