Bitter sweet....

Last scheduled afternoon charter of the season, but what a beautiful sunset that we witnessed over Lake Ontario 😍.

Two more weekends with Salmon & Trout before we switch boats and species for Fall Walleye on Oneida lake.

Ryan brought a crew up from Ohio this past weekend to fish with us on Sunday evening, and Monday morning. This was their first time on Lake Ontario, and their first time chasing Salmon and Trout.

Sunday night was quiet (compared to the previous few days) thanks to Mother Nature who iced our inside waters and scattered the Staging Salmon. Monday morning we gave the inside a look, but after an hour with just a drive by to show for we headed deeper looking for immature Salmon and Chunky Steelhead. Mission accomplished for these guys!

These guys were great to fish with, although they were a quiet bunch. We'd like to thank them for joining us, and as always our fishing report is posted on YouTube.

Those scissors are on BOTH boats and get used A LOT! Lord knows how many pieces of Rigged Cut Bait they trimmed this weekend 🥴.

25% isn't something to pass up, and we can all use terminal tackle & storage.

This weekend we fished the Big Boys Event at Oak Orchard with a group of clients that have fished with us for many many years. Every fish was crucial, and weight mattered. I had to go on an afternoon charter, so we don't have any pictures of their Winning Box (picture below was their Winning Box last year). In the last three seasons they've taken 1st, 1st, and 2nd.

We decided, after pre-fishing, that we could turn enough mature stagers to fill our six fish box, so that's what we did for two days. These guys were patient on the fish, and half way decent on the rods 🤣. Patients are a virtue with staging Salmon as they give you windows of activity.

We'd like to thank these guys for spending a few days with us, and congratulate them on their victory. I want to thank my brother Craig for running the event, and taking care of the fish while I was on trip #2. As always, a fishing report is on our YouTube page and we'll link it in the comments.

Tom and his crew drove in from the Syracuse area on Sunday morning for a morning of fishing Lake Ontario. We haven't seen them in a few years, so it was great to catch up.

We headed to the mid waters to start the morning and the fish were there! These guys had a busy morning with jumbo Steelhead and mostly immature Salmon. They bagged all three Salmon species by the end of the day.

We'd like to thank these guys for fishing with us, and we look forward to seeing you in the future. Our fishing report is posted up on our YouTube channel.

Alex, and his crew, drove in from Buffalo to fish with us Saturday afternoon. This is their second year joining us on Lake Ontario to chase Salmon and Trout, and they couldn't have asked for any more action.

The afternoon charter started off a little rough 🤣. We dropped the first six fish! However, with a little coaching, and a little luck, we started to put some meat in the Grizzly ⚰️. We landed some JUMBO Steelhead, and a few nice 2yr old Salmon.

It was great catching up with you guys, and we hope to see you again in the future. Don't forget to see our YouTube fishing report to get the scoop on what they were chewing!

We had a short morning trip with Nick and his crew who drove in from Corning, NY. This was Nick's third trip of the season with us and he's brought a few different guests each time. 🤞 We'll see him one more time for Fall Walleye on Oneida Lake.

We decided to see if there were stagers inside, and indeed there were. However, they won most battles we encountered with them along with some equipment failure 🤬. At one point we went three in a row that took gear from us. The smaller Salmon were no match for these guys 😁, and they put together a nice box of fish.

There's a great mix of all year classes on Lake Ontario, and the future looks bright!

It started with an amazing Brown Trout fishery this Spring, and we're finishing with some fantastic Salmon and Steelhead fishing offshore.
