We made the final jump from the Port of Rochester to Sodus Bay. In a few days the Yankee Troller will be put into heated storage at Krenzer Marine. We'd like to thank everybody who fished with us on Lake Ontario during the 2026 season.

Joe and Bill joined us on Oneida Lake this morning for what turned out to be a Walleye Smash! There wasn't much time to miss the coffee they left in their vehicle in between setting lines and reeling in Walleye.

The only thing that could have made the morning better was less wind. We fished into 1-2' waves most of the day. Not something we typically do at these slow speeds, but I wanted to put my AccuTroll system to the test. If you're looking for speed control on your kicker engine this system is a no brainer. It gives you cruise control utilizing your GPS speed. It's one less thing to worry about when you're trying to put fish in the box.

Generally, on Lake Ontario we don't have any surprise catches. However, when we're fishing inland lakes there is a variety of warm water species you can run into.

We fished our first Fall Walleye charter on Oneida yesterday 🍂

Before we get to that - 🚨 Our group for October 17/18 was not able to make it, so that weekend just opened up. It's the only weekend available to get out with us on Oneida. Let us know if you want it!

Back to this weekend's Walleye charter. Jason drove up from the Lehigh Valley area in Pennsylvania to fish Oneida Lake Walleye with us. Over the years he's been out with us chasing Salmon on Lake Ontario. We didn't have any Salmon slots available when he reached out, so we moved him into a Walleye charter.

The highlight of the day was a 17lb Catfish, even though they left with their limit of Walleye, and some bonus Perch. We want to thank these boys for spending the day with us, and hope they enjoy the fruits of their labor.

We ended our Lake Ontario Salmon and Trout charters for the 2026 season today doing a little pier patrol with our group from Maryland. When this bite sets up it can be a lot of fun!

It's been a great season with great clients, and we want to thank everyone who fished with us. It's time for a change of gears, however, and Fall Walleye are calling. Our fishing report is posted on YouTube of you want to see how we caught them.
