Triple Threat Martial Arts is bringing a TEAM 🤝

We are excited to welcome Triple Threat Martial Arts (Triple Threat Martial Arts) to the 50th Annual Fall Classic as they bring their young competitors to compete in our new Kids Team Divisions!

After introducing team competition to our Classic Combat circuit, these divisions quickly became some of the most exciting and popular events of the tournament. Now, we’re opening them up to EVERY school and academy for TFC50!

Team competition gives young martial artists the opportunity to get more matches, compete alongside their teammates, and represent their academies with pride!

This year, we’re featuring two Kids Team Divisions:

🥊 Kids Team Kickboxing
🤼 Kids Team No-Gi Grappling

Each team will select three competitors, one from each age group:

• 11 & Under
• Ages 12–13
• Ages 14–15

Each team contest consists of three 2-minute matches, with the team winning the most matches taking home the victory! In No-Gi Grappling, each submission earns a point, and matches without a submission are decided by the referee.

And the best part? Team competition is completely FREE for students already registered for TFC50!

Winning teams will receive a prestigious tournament award, and each member of the winning team will take home a gold medal!

We want to see schools from across the region get involved. You can even enter multiple teams from the same academy!

Team competition kicks off at 9:15 AM sharp, so come ready to represent your school!

Let’s pack these team brackets and make TFC50 something special for the next generation of martial artists!

The No. 1 seed is confirmed for TFC50! 🥋🦅

At 67 years young, Richard Bruce is returning to The Fall Classic to compete in our special 50th Anniversary 50+ Point Fighting Absolute!

Richard is no stranger to winning Eagles. In 2010, at TFC36, he captured the prestigious Eagle after defeating some of the tournament’s toughest competitors, including future TFC38 winner Danny Potts and the legendary Jessie Thornton!

Now, 16 years later, he’s coming back to run it back one more time!

As a previous Eagle winner, Richard has earned the No. 1 seed in our special anniversary bracket, completing an incredible lineup of four seeded competitors:

🥋 Richard Bruce — TFC36 Eagle Winner
🥋 Tony Williams — TFC46 40+ Kickboxing Eagle Winner
🥋 Marty Eubanks
🥋 Shawn Giles

Four seasoned competitors representing decades of martial arts history, all coming together to celebrate 50 years of The Fall Classic!

But here’s the best part—this division is open to EVERYONE age 50 and older!

Whether you’re a former champion, a longtime competitor, or someone ready to step back onto the competition floor, we want to see you at TFC50.

Who will take home the Eagle and make history in our 50th anniversary celebration? 👀

Allen Wheeler’s vision comes to life again for a historic 50th year! 🥋

In 1989, at TFC15, Mark Aycock captured the Double Grand Championship in both sparring and forms at The Isshin-ryu Fall Classic!

Mark was a longtime student of tournament founder Allen Wheeler and later became the instructor of Chuck Reynolds, the current promoter of The Fall Classic.

But his connection to The Fall Classic goes far beyond his victories. As a student of Allen Wheeler and the instructor of Chuck Reynolds, Mark represents a direct link between the tournament’s founding and the tradition we continue today.

We are honored to welcome Master Aycock back for the 50th Annual Fall Classic as we celebrate the competitors, instructors, and generations of martial artists who have helped carry Allen Wheeler’s vision forward.

50 years later, that vision is still alive. 🦅

The ATL is back at TFC! 🔥🥋

We are excited to welcome one of the region’s best point fighters, Anthony Hewlett, to the 50th Annual Fall Classic!

Ant trains under Master Tony Young Tony Young , one of the greatest sport martial artists of all time, and represents Team ATL on the national sport karate scene.

And Atlanta has a LONG history of taking Eagles home from The Fall Classic. 🦅

Stefan Ducasse Stefan Ducasse — TFC44
Micah “Cobra” Williams micah_williams357 — TFC43
Kevin Walker ҠᎠօէ🥋 — TFC42
Marcal Lazenby Marcal Lazenby Sr. — TFC37

Now Anthony is coming to Knoxville looking to add his name to that list and take his first Eagle back to Atlanta!

This one is especially exciting because TFC50 marks the return of sport karate to The Fall Classic for the first time since 2019. It only feels right to have Atlanta back on the floor with us.

The ATL has taken plenty of Eagles home over the years. Will Anthony Hewlett be next? 👀

The coach enters the ring… 😳🥋

Shawn Giles (Shawn Giles ), head coach of Dalton Combatives (Dalton Combatives), is stepping out of the corner and back into competition at TFC50!

Before becoming a prolific kickboxing coach, Shawn was a United Karate Studios black belt and one of the region’s top point fighters.

He’s also no stranger to The Fall Classic. Shawn competed at this tournament during his point fighting days and today returns as a coach. In fact, he’s the man in the corner of Isaac Hernandez, our No. 1 seeded Heavyweight Kickboxing Absolute competitor.

But at TFC50, Coach Giles is putting the gear back on himself.

Shawn will enter the ring once again to compete in our special 50th Anniversary 50+ Point Fighting Absolute!

We’ve loved seeing so many competitors from different eras of The Fall Classic answer the call to run it back one more time. We can’t wait to see Coach Giles back out there on October 24!
