Core spotlight: Lisa

Lisa has been dancing with Circle Modern Dance since 2021. She began dancing at the age of two, taking classes at the same studio where her dad danced. Modern is her favorite, but she also enjoys ballet, improv, and the choreographic process. When she's not dancing, you can find Lisa spending time with her family at the lake or watching the sunset.

Calling all choreographers! If you would be interested in submitting a piece for our annual winter show, Modern Dance Primitive Light, proposals are due July 26th! All are welcome to submit proposals through the Google form located in our bio! 👆

Proposal form includes questions about the piece as well as music needs/song choice.

MDPL show dates will be Dec 9-12 2026.

Circle Modern Dance is excited to host our first Hip Hop Workshop!

July 12th
July 19th
July 26th

From 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at TCFA

The cost of attending the 3-part series is $45 total.

The workshop will be lead by Annell, a Circle Modern Dance core member.

-The workshop is for adults 18+
-Consists of basic footwork and upper body movement
-Open to all experience levels, including beginners
-Each class will conclude by learning a section of choreography
-Attending all three dates is encouraged as material builds
-Non-street shoes (preferably flat soled) recommended

Core spotlight: Winter

Winter has been dancing with since 2022 and has been a core member for 3 years. Their favorite class is improv and they enjoy anything that involves rolling or spinning around.
When they’re not dancing, you can find Winter roaming the Little Pigeon River in search of Great Blue Herons.

Core spotlight: Anna Marie

Anna Marie has been dancing with since January 2024. Her favorite class is ballet and she loves learning and challenging herself both physically and creatively.
Her favorite part of dancing at Circle is collaborating with the Sunshine dancers!
