π GIANT SET SPOTLIGHT! ππ₯
π₯ Looking to maximize your workout in less time? This 3-exercise giant set is one of my favorites because it combines strength, balance, stability, and core activation all in one sequence!
ποΈ Exercise 1: Sumo Stance Deficit Deadlifts
β
Strengthens your glutes π, hamstrings, quads, inner thighs, and core
β
The deficit increases your range of motion for even greater muscle activation.
β
The sumo stance helps target the glutes and adductors while reinforcing proper lifting mechanics.
πͺ Exercise 2: Alternating Hammer Curl β‘οΈ Supination Curl
π¨ Hammer Curl builds thicker, stronger arms by targeting the brachialis and forearms.
π₯ Supination Curl rotates the palm up to maximize biceps activation and build strength through a full range of motion.
Why choose one when you can get the benefits of both? πͺπ₯
𦡠Exercise 3: Single-Leg Romanian Deadlift
(Working leg on the floor with the opposite knee supported on a plyo box.)
This variation is fantastic for:
β
Glute strength π
β
Hamstring development
β
Balance & coordination βοΈ
β
Hip stability
β
Core strength
β
Injury prevention
π Progressive Overload = Progress!
I completed 3 rounds, increasing my weight each setβ¦
ποΈ Round 1οΈβ£ β 25 lbs
ποΈ Round 2οΈβ£ β Heavier
ποΈ Round 3οΈβ£ β 45 lbs πͺπ₯
Progressive overload is one of the most effective ways to build muscle, increase strength, and continue seeing results.

πβ¨ GUESS THE HORMONE β ANSWER REVEAL! β¨π
π
±οΈ The correct answer is... INSULIN!
Many people think insulin is the "bad guy," but it isn't.
π Insulin is a vital hormone that helps move sugar (glucose) from your bloodstream into your cells so it can be used for energy.
The challenge comes when your body has to produce MORE insulin than it used to.
During perimenopause and menopause, women often become less sensitive to insulin. This can make it easier to store fat around the midsectionβeven if your blood sugar is still considered "normal."
π© The clues from this week's quiz:
π Hungry again soon after a high-carb breakfast
π΄ Feeling sleepy after lunch
πͺ Evening sugar cravings
π A growing waistline despite "normal" blood sugar
ποΈββοΈ Working out consistently but struggling to lose belly fat
π‘ What can you do to support healthy insulin levels?
β
Eat protein at breakfast.
β
Pair carbohydrates with protein and healthy fats.
β
Fill your plate with fiber-rich vegetables.
β
Strength train consistently.
β
Take a 10β15 minute walk after meals when possible.
β
Prioritize quality sleep and manage stress.
β€οΈ Remember...
Hormones work as a TEAM.
Supporting healthy insulin isn't about eating lessβit's about eating smarter, building muscle, moving your body, and creating healthy daily habits.

Tomorrow I'll reveal the correct answer, explain WHY
The answer to yesterdayβs quiz is... ππππππCORTISOL!
π€Cortisol isn't a bad hormone. It's your body's primary stress hormone. The issue isn't having cortisolβit's when levels remain elevated or become out of balance over time.
π€ Common signs cortisol may be out of balance:
β
Feeling tired but wired
β
Waking up between 2-4 a.m.
β
Afternoon sugar cravings
β
Increased belly fat
β
Slower workout recovery
π€ Support healthy cortisol with these habits:
β
Strength training consistently
β
Eat enough protein throughout the day
β
Include fiber with each meal
β
Stay hydrated and consider daily electrolytes
β
Prioritize quality sleep
β
Make recovery and stress management part of your fitness plan
π€ During menopause, declining estrogen can make women more sensitive to cortisol.
That's one reason stress, poor sleep, and blood sugar swings often seem to affect us more than they once did.
π― Remember: Hormones work together like a team. The goal isn't to 'fix' one hormoneβit's to support your body with consistent habits that help all of your
hormones function at their best.
