More Than a Triton: Ginny Fronk
For Ginny Fronk, soccer has always been more than a game. As a goalkeeper, scholar-athlete, and cancer survivor, she discovered that the sport she loves could also be a source of strength, purpose, and perspective during one of the most challenging chapters of her life.
After being diagnosed with Stage 2A Hodgkin's lymphoma during her senior year of high school, Fronk leaned on the support of her teammates, coaches, family, and community while continuing to pursue the sport that brought her joy. Today, she carries those experiences with her both on and off the field, using adversity as motivation to make a difference through research and advocacy.
Whether she's making saves for the Tritons, pursuing a future in cancer research, or supporting the blood cancer community, Fronk's impact extends far beyond soccer.

More Than a Triton: Thomas Fry
For Thomas Fry, success extends far beyond times, records, and results. As a senior cross country and track and field scholar-athlete, psychology major, and mental health advocate, he has dedicated his time at UC San Diego to supporting the well-being of fellow scholar-athletes through The Hidden Opponent.
Through workshops, conversations, and leadership opportunities, Fry has helped create spaces where athletes feel empowered to prioritize their mental health, recognize their own value, and support one another. His impact reaches far beyond competition, helping foster a culture where seeking support is viewed as a strength and vulnerability as a form of leadership.

More Than a Triton: Zehra Anbarlilar
For many international students, arriving at a new university means navigating unfamiliar cultures, environments, and challenges. Through her own experience, Zehra Anbarlilar found a sense of belonging at UC San Diego, and made it her mission to help others do the same.
As a leader, mentor, and advocate for international students, she has helped create a welcoming community for those adjusting to life far from home. By sharing her experiences and supporting others through theirs, she has left a lasting impact on the Triton community while building a home away from home of her own.
