🔸 DESERT HORSE'S UPDATED SERVICES FOR 2026🔸

🔹1. Maintenance Dental Float (including brief exam, sedation, reduction of sharp enamel points and minor irregularities, and Banamine for seniors): Start at $245 for horses up to 19 years of age. A maintenance float for a senior (20-30 years of age) starts at $295.🔹

🔸2. REGULAR Maintenance Dental Float: Starts at $220 for horses up to 19 years of age, and $270 for horses 20-30 years of age. This price is for horses that we have floated teeth on within the prior 15 months.🔸

🔹3. Wolf Tooth Extractions: This is $80/tooth if your horse is already with us for a dental float.🔹

🔸4. Additional Sedation and/or Correction of Significant Malocclusions: If your horse is particularly resistant to sedation, or has serious dental issues requiring extended work, additional charges will apply.🔸

🔹5. Sheath Cleaning: We can get that yucky sm**ma out of your gelding's private bits so you don't have to! We do this for $30 when added to a dental appointment. If your gelding objects to this service in a dangerous fashion, we will be unable to proceed.🔹

🔸6. We can no longer work on draft breeds or horses that bite/kick/rear/strike/run us over when sedation is attempted. I no longer have the upper body strength to work on your really large friends, and neither myself nor my assistant can afford to get hurt trying to work with dangerous patients.🔸

Well Josh and I have been busy in the evenings and this past weekend. We packed the footing in our barn, matted the stalls and concreted/matted the barn aisle. Sure love the new look 💕

🐴 Meet the two newest OTTBs in our barn!
Say hello to Vision (chestnut) and Dreamer (bay)! Both geldings have already won us over with their incredibly sweet personalities. ❤️
Dreamer will be spending the winter with us as he takes the time he needs to recover from a suspensory injury. Vision is currently going through a detox and will then begin his retraining journey as he prepares for an exciting new riding career.
We’re looking forward to getting to know these two boys and sharing their journeys along the way! 🐎✨

❤️ Oso is another one of our special training horses who has been quietly putting in the miles behind the scenes for the past few months. He came to us from Silent Wave Horse Rescue, and it has been such a privilege to watch him grow, learn, and gain confidence along the way. 🐴✨

We’ve been a little guilty of forgetting to share his progress—mostly because I’m usually riding him in the early morning hours when there’s no one around to take pictures! 😂 But trust me, this boy has been working hard, and we couldn’t be more proud of him.
Every horse has their own story, their own pace, and their own journey. Oso has come a long way, and it has been incredibly rewarding to be a small part of his journey. ❤️

His training with us has now come to an end for this chapter of his life, but his journey certainly doesn’t stop here! Oso has his own page, so if you’d like to continue following along with this handsome boy and see where life takes him next, be sure to give his page a follow at, Team Oso. 🐴❤️

We’re excited to see what the future holds for Oso!

Today, we took our AI glasses out on the trails for the first time with Gus, Shadow, Maple, and Zara! 🐴🌲
It’s an exciting new way to capture our rides and share the experience from a whole new perspective. We’re looking forward to exploring the possibilities of this technology and bringing you along on more of our adventures.
