“I proudly served as a Combat Engineer with the Louisiana Army National Guard’s 528th Engineer Battalion from 2004 to 2012. During my military service, I supported the citizens of Louisiana through numerous hurricane response efforts and natural disaster recovery operations, reinforcing my commitment to service and helping others during times of need.
Following my military career, I continued my dedication to public service by pursuing a career in law enforcement, where I have served for more than 20 years. During that time, I spent 10 years as a member of a SWAT team and served as a sniper, gaining extensive experience in tactical operations, critical incident response, precision marksmanship, and high-risk law enforcement situations.
I currently hold the rank of Sergeant and supervise a night shift patrol division. In this leadership role, I am responsible for mentoring and guiding officers while continuing to serve my community with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.
Being a part of AVH has truly been a blessing in my life. Having the honor of knowing these men and women who have been through the same struggles is something I never take for granted. No matter the skill level, the most important thing on this team is acceptance.”
