12UAA USSSA Boilermaker Country Champions!!

A great championship game against McCutcheon Mavericks Cardinal 11U in two extra innings.

On Deck Silver 12U Walk It Off Against McCutcheon Mavericks Cardinal 11U

On Deck Silver 12U took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 15-14 walk-off victory over McCutcheon Mavericks Cardinal 11U. The game was tied at 14 in the bottom of the eighth when Aiden F doubled, scoring one run.

Grant W homered in the fifth, first, and third innings. Grant hit three home runs in the victory.

On Deck Silver 12U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Aiden doubled, scoring one run, Bryson M singled, scoring two runs, Cameron Z homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Grant hit a solo home run to center field.

McCutcheon Mavericks Cardinal 11U flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring 10 runs on 10 hits to take the lead, 10-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Shane B that drove in two.

On Deck Silver 12U made the score 10-9 in the bottom of the third inning when Bryson scored after tagging up, and Grant hit a solo home run to left field.

On Deck Silver 12U tied the game up in the bottom of the fifth thanks to two home runs. On Deck Silver 12U tied the game at 13 on a home run to left field by Grant.

A double by Brooks P gave McCutcheon Mavericks Cardinal 11U the lead, 14-13, in the top of the seventh.

Everett R singled down the left field line, which helped On Deck Silver 12U tie the game at 14 in the bottom of the seventh.

Aiden pitched three innings in relief for On Deck Silver 12U. The pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (zero earned) while, striking out four and walking none. Cameron opened the game for On Deck Silver 12U. The starter allowed 11 hits and 10 runs (nine earned) over two innings, striking out none and walking none. Rhett B started on the mound for McCutcheon Mavericks Cardinal 11U. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and six runs over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking none.

On Deck Silver 12U amassed 18 hits in the game. Bryson led On Deck Silver 12U with four hits in four at bats. Cameron, Aiden, Everett, Hunter S, and Ethan N each collected multiple hits for On Deck Silver 12U. Bryson stole two bases.

Huge thank you to Rachael Rodimel and Zach Rodimel for everything you poured into making the On Deck Tournaments - Rust Buster Rumbler happen this weekend. The amount of time, effort, and heart behind the scenes does not go unnoticed—and after the weather we had, it took even more to pull it off. We are so grateful!

After a rainy, cold, and windy start, our boys showed up early Saturday morning (between 7:00–9:00 AM) to help dry fields—despite several still being unplayable. Not exactly ideal baseball conditions, and it made for a tough day of competition.

Saturday Recap:
We faced North Central Cyclones (Chuck) and came up short, 12–1. It was a challenging game, but Hunter led the way at the plate going 2-for-2, and the team kept battling through tough conditions.

Sunday Bracket Play:
The boys came back ready to compete!

* Game 1: Strong bounce-back win over North Central Cyclones, 8–2. Ethan was on fire, going 3-for-3, and Aiden dominated on the mound with 10 strikeouts.
* Game 2: Huge comeback victory against West Lafayette Red Devils, 10–7! Down by as many as seven runs, the boys exploded offensively and never gave up—an incredible team effort.
* Game 3 (Championship): Tough loss to Lafayette Lightning, 11–8. Despite out-hitting them 13–10 and battling back to make it a one-run game, we couldn’t quite close the gap. So much fight and resilience shown to the very end.

🥈 Proud to finish 2nd place after a weekend full of adversity, grit, and growth.

So proud of these boys for their effort, teamwork, and never-quit attitude. And again—thank you, Racheal and Zach, for giving them the opportunity to compete this weekend. 💙⚾

Uniforms and gear are in, and we are excited to kick off the season at the first ever USSSA event in Lafayette this weekend! We will start the season off at the Boiler Up tournament Saturday at 10am. ⚾️
