Wow is all i can say. Oliver continued our luck this morning taking a nice 7 point buck. We were about 50 yards apart, I had just texted him to see if he was still warm and if he had seen anything. He replied no deer and still warm. I looked at my camera pics and sent him a Pic 10 minutes before he climbed into his stand of a nice10 point buck. As I set my phone down I heard a crash,looked up and saw a deer fall over. Instantly he was calling me on the phone and excitedly said I just smoked a buck. I asked did you see where he went,he replied he's right where the arrow hit him,I have my eyes on him. My excitement kicked in told him to wait a bit then get down . I don't think his feet hit any of the ladder rungs getting to the ground. Nothing better than seeing his eyes glow big smile and how proud he was of his deer. Ps he was off school and asked if we could go bow hunting.

Its that time of year. Time to fill the freezer. We were able to enjoy our recent success. With pheasant with gravy over biscuits. Then tonight fresh backstrap from Karen's nice 11pt buck with her bow. Pheasant compliments of Oliver during his recent youth hunt at Richlandcountyfishandgame Club . Walleye dinner this past week also, its great to be self sustaining. Get into the outdoors, sit in the woods get on the water. The sights sounds and things you will see won't disappoint.

Texas in the house today, Huston we do not have a problem getting the walleye. Was lucky today to have the Wienart father and Son duo. Scott and Tyler had never fished Lake Erie before so we made it happen for them. Its great to see a father and son passionate about fishing. They wanted to get some walleye and go to a local restaurant that cooks it for you, Crabby Joe's was their choice. As far as the fishing we made it a 12 fish limit close to home. We ran tru trip 40s pulling double willows with worms at 80 to 95 back 2.0 mph with the waves, dipsys at 85 setting 3 pulling double willows with worms. Had a return guest crew from Chicago. They are with QCC Todor , Dennis,Bo ,Collin,Todd and Alex. Poor Alex battled through some seasickness right from the start he was quite the trooper. This crew knew what to do from previous trips, and this one didn't dissappear. Set down rods and immediately we had fish on, it continued as we set all of our rods all started to produce. They were able to take their 36 quality walleye I added 6 more on the clean up for 42 fish ... 90 # at the cleaner. Same program Big fish tuf glow tru trip 40s pulling double willows with worms at 80 to 90 back, downloads Dipsys setting 3 at75 back 2.0 up to 2.2 mph. Only turn was to come home. Had the pleasure of fishing with the Rodefer family today. Smoked em again , they took their 36 fish and it was so good I took my six for a nice board of 42 fish. Good grade of fish taken on Big fish tuf glow tru trip 40s pulling double willows with worms at 80 to 90 back. 1.9 mph. Down rods were dipsys on a 3 setting back 75 with double willows and worms. Only about 4 shorts and sent back about a dozen legal fish. Overall spectacular day with a wonderful family. Thank you Tim and family for choosing us to fish with.

Had the pleasure of fishing with a great family today. Noah,Tara, Shelby,Charlie and Adeline Phillips had never fished Lake Erie before. Well you couldn't tell by the way they handled the lines and put a beating on the walleye. It was definitely much rougher that the 1 ft waves predicted today. They all handled it well and git their sea legs. Today was our same program Big fish tuf glow tru trip 40s pulling double willows with worms at 80 and 90 back. Down rods were dipsys setting 3 at 75 back with double willows and worms definitely were on fire . 2.0 and slower today troffed the waves so it was a bit sporty. They put 30 nice fish in the white coffin and I reeled in 6 more on the clean up for 36 fish off to the cleaners. Thank you to the Phillips for driving from Indiana and fishing with us. Enjoy the fish and We'll see you next time around.

With yesterday's weather ,wasn't sure how the wind would be this morning. So we delayed our trip for a late start. Wind and waves were still present but the crew of Jimmy Lee,Dan, Mark and Dave spanked the eyes today. Not much smoke in sight but they smoked the fush. They took charge and put their 30 fish in the boat I took 6 more on the clean up for a 36 fish boat limit. All good grade of fish. Big fish tough glow tru trip 40s pulling double willows with worms at 80 to 90 back. Dipsys on the down rods back 75 3 setting double willows with worms. Fast and furious. Thank you to this returning guest crew for a great 3 days. See you all next year. Back at it in the morning.

On today's adventure of where there's smoke there's fire. I had Dave Jimmy,Lee,Dan and Mark out for day 1 of 3 . The were on fire, steady pick of nice fish to finish our day with 30 of theirs and I was able to pull my 6 fish giving us a nice box of 36 fish. Big fish tuf tru trip glow 40 again 80 and 90 back started with half spoons and half double willows with worms. Changed to all double willows with worms and that's what they wanted. Dipsys setting 3 at 75 with double willows also. 2.1 mph only made a turn to come home. Thank you to this returning guest crew for a great day. Watching tomorrows weather to see how it goes. Even had a bird along for the ride today.

Plenty of smoke in the air today, they say where there's smoke there's fire. The fish today were on fire, for my guests the Stribrny family and friends. They put on a clinic today filling their cooler with a nice 36 fish allowing my self to take in 4 more total of 40 fish went home in the white coffin. Big fish tuf tru trip 40s pulling spoons without worms, And double willows with worms. 80 to 90 back 2.1 mph. Dipsys setting 3 at 75 back with spoons. All produced equally. We did take a nice fish o sheepshead lol. The pictures definitely didn't show the amount of smoke out there today. We are back at it in the morning.

On this hot Tuesday we had the pleasure of having the Caistang and Burris family. They chose to make this family trip ,in Honor of their daughter,sister and mother Ashley who passed away . She definitely came along for the ride. With 2 of them it was their first time with me and first walleye expierence. We instructed them in the process of setting lines,equipment and getting it done. They were quick learners,first download in first fish. They were able to take 28 of their 30 possible nice walleye. Big fish tuf glow tru trip 40s pulling spoons at 70 to 90 back 80 worked the best. Dipsys on the down rods back 60 to 65 back pulling double willows with worms 2.1 to 2.3 mph.Thank you to the entire crew for a enjoyable and successful day on the water.
