MARAUDER FOOTBALL NATION:
Heavy news to pass along regarding the sweet person pictured here. Nancy Jo Hatfield has passed on from mortality. A more dedicated individual to Marauder Football, and Marauder Athletics in general, would be hard to find.
The Hatfield Family arrived to the Antelope Valley in 1990. Nancy Jo made her presence known at Antelope Valley College quickly as she became involved in game day activities of the basketball teams and Marauder Football. Her efforts benefitted each program that she became involved in. In 1997 she was selected as the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Student Services at AVC, a position she held until retiring. Even after retirement, Nancy Jo remained involved in game day management for the Marauders.
In 2024 Nancy Jo Hatfield was inducted into the Marauder Athletics Hall of Fame honoring her contributions over the years. She had been in the Hall of Fame in many of our hearts for long before that honorable recognition. A more caring and giving individual would be hard to find. To meet her was to like her. The list is long of those people that were positively touched by Nancy Jo Hatfield. My name is definitely on that list!
To Nancy Jo we offer up immeasurable gratitude for all you did for Marauder Football over the many years you contributed to the program…you will definitely be missed!
Condolences to her family and friends…along with all of us who had the honor of meeting this angel of a person.
