🏒 Meet 𝗭𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝗱, 𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧: A lifelong Auburn hockey player and 2017 graduate of Edward Little High School, Zach brings both playing and youth sports leadership experience to the Maine Gladiators. A graduate of Lasell University and current Youth Sports Coordinator for the Auburn Recreation Department, Zach is excited to help grow girls hockey, support player development, and connect with Gladiator families throughout the season. ♥️🖤

🏒 Meet 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗻𝗲, 𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨 𝙃𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙮 𝙇𝙞𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙣 & 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙧: Coach Beauchesne has been involved in hockey since age three and brings experience from the Maine Gladiators, Saint Dominic Academy, Hebron Academy, and NCAA Division III hockey at King’s College. Now serving as Head Coach of the U14 Maine Gladiators and an assistant coach at Bates College, she is passionate about developing confident, skilled athletes while fostering leadership, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of the game. ♥️🖤

🏒 Meet 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘄, 𝙎𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝘼𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧: A Lewiston native and graduate of Lewiston High School and Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, Matthew brings an array of experience in operations, project management, fundraising, marketing, and organizational leadership from the banking, finance, and hospitality industries. With a passion for community involvement and hockey, he combines his technical expertise and behind-the-scenes rink experience to help support and strengthen the Maine Gladiators both on and off the ice. ♥️🖤

The 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 are growing! We are seeking applications for a 𝟲𝗨 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱* and also a 𝟴𝗨 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱* who will both play a vital role alongside the 6U/8U Director to support the growth and success of the Maine Gladiators’ youngest players. Theses role focus on creating a fun, positive, and engaging environment that follows USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM), while promoting skill development, player confidence, recruitment, retention, and a lifelong love of the game.

𝟲𝗨 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 responsibilities include assisting with volunteer coach recruitment, helping organize and implement age-appropriate practice plans, supporting effective communication with families, and fostering strong player retention. The 6U Lead is also expected to serve as a welcoming presence for players and parents by being available at least 45 minutes prior to each session to assist with questions, provide guidance, and help ensure a smooth start to all on-ice activities.

𝟴𝗨 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 responsibilities include assisting with player evaluations to help place athletes in appropriate groups based on skill level, ensuring balanced competition and meaningful development opportunities. The 8U Lead also supports coach mentorship, skill-based practice planning, and the creation of a fun, encouraging, and low-pressure environment where young players can build confidence, develop fundamental hockey skills, and foster a lifelong love for the game.

Cam brings more than a decade of coaching, player development, and leadership experience at the youth, junior, and collegiate-preparatory levels. As the owner of PucDevelopment Training Facility since 2015, he has helped countless athletes improve their skills, strength, and overall performance both on and off the ice. Cam’s coaching résumé includes leadership positions with the L/A Nordiques, Twin City Thunder, and New Hampshire Mountain Kings, where he currently serves as Head Coach in the NAHL. Known for his commitment to player development and advancing athletes to the next level, Cam combines high-level hockey knowledge with a proven track record of building successful teams and developing elite talent.

Veronica is a highly respected skating specialist with more than 17 years of experience developing hockey players at every level of the game. Throughout her career, she has worked with athletes ranging from Learn-to-Skate participants to AAA/Tier I, Junior A, NCAA Division I, and NHL players. Veronica has held leadership roles as Athletic Director and Skating Director at Nest Hockey in Florida and as Rec League Director at AdventHealth Center Ice in Tampa. Specializing in private, small-group, and team instruction, she is passionate about helping players improve their skating mechanics, speed, agility, and efficiency to maximize their performance on the ice.

Austin is the founder of The Mental Goalie and Mindset Academy, organizations dedicated to helping athletes develop the mental skills needed to thrive in high-pressure environments. A native of Winthrop, Maine, Austin’s journey from high school hockey to earning a spot on Franklin Pierce University’s NCAA Division II team inspired his passion for building confidence, resilience, accountability, and mental toughness in young athletes. His coaching approach combines elite goalie development with proven mindset training, helping players grow both on and off the ice. Austin currently works with goalies at the youth, high school, college, and junior levels, including the Lewiston Maineiacs (NCDC), Bowdoin College Women’s Hockey, and North Yarmouth Academy, while leading camps and training programs throughout the Northeast.

Caleb brings a diverse coaching and player development background spanning junior hockey, elite skills training, and organizational leadership. He has held coaching roles with the Twin City Thunder (NCDC), Maine Nordiques (NAHL), and recently served as Head Coach of the Lewiston Maineiacs NCDC team while also directing player development for the organization. As Co-Owner of PucDevelopment Training and Co-Skill Development Director for the Maine Gladiators, Caleb has helped athletes of all ages elevate their skills and reach their potential. In 2025, he founded IronEdge Development and the IronEdge Development Training Facility, creating a premier environment dedicated to developing hockey players through high-level instruction, mentorship, and training.
