It was a great end of season meet Saturday at Lone Oak Park in Nicholasville. The weather was beautiful and the kids ran strong.

This was the third 1600m (1 mile) the 4th and under kids had the opportunity to run this season. On Saturday we had 25 runners with 18 personal records! Those who did not PR all came very close to their best times.

There were several standout performances. Harrison White finished in 3rd place in the 4th and under boys race. Atticus Ames fell down flat at the start of the race and still got up and beat his PR by 33 seconds. Gigi Elliott beat her previous two 1600s by more than a minute. Bodie Huizinga dropped 2:50 from his time. Alina Jackson dropped 1:08. Maggie Ralston beat her PR by 1:41. And the record was set by Eleanor Swink who dropped a whopping 4:55 from her time in the first meet of the season!

Liam Branson and Maggie McEwen, our two fifth graders who ran the 2K, both set PRs. Maggie ran an impressive race. She was in 4th position most of the race. She worked her way into third and then strained up to the finish line to grab a second place win by one hundredth of a second and a new PR.

Huge congratulations to junior outside hitters Amelia S. and Elizabeth B.!

Amelia and Elizabeth were named to the 46th District All-Tournament team last night after leading the team to a 2nd place finish. This power duo combined for 50+ kills to lead Trinity Volleyball to compete in the 12th Region Tournament for the 3rd straight year!
