We’ve created a dedicated home for artistic dance in all its beautiful dimensions.

Arabesque World Dance specializes in belly dance—from traditional and folkloric roots to creative fusion. Our studio offers a space to learn with intention, connect with culture, and express yourself freely.

Come explore Egyptian, Lebanese, and Turkish dance under the guidance of one of our region’s most experienced and knowledgeable instructors. Alongside these root traditions, we delve into expressive lyrical dance—blending rich emotion with balletic grace—as well as theatrical styles and vibrant influences like flamenco.

Inside these walls, you’ll find authentic education, pure encouragement, and a supportive dance family ready to share the floor with you.

Come find your rhythm with us! Check out our full class schedule in the events section.

A real dance education requires a real dance haven.

At Arabesque World Dance, we’ve built a true sanctuary—a dedicated studio where traditional and folkloric styles from the Middle East and North Africa are honored, preserved, and taught with care. While we love exploring fusion, we remain the only space in the region completely committed to these root traditions.

When you step onto the floor with studio founder and instructor Safiya Nawaar, you are learning from a trusted, authentic authority. Recognized throughout Middle Eastern and North African diaspora communities, Safiya is regularly hired for their milestone celebrations, featured at cultural festivals, and brought in for lecture-demonstrations at local learning institutions. Having spent years studying directly with global master instructors from those regions, she brings that deep cultural knowledge and continuous study straight to our dance floor.

If you’re looking for real depth, true community, and a dedicated home for your dance journey, this is where you belong.

Come see what sets us apart. Check out our class schedule in the events section!

A peek behind the scenes at Arabesque!

Preparations are in full swing for our Viking Feast on Friday, November 20th, and our dancers are currently tackling a brand-new choreography set to "Morrigan When the Raven Speaks My Name."

I couldn't be prouder of these students. They always show up ready to throw themselves into the movement, supporting one another and bringing so much genuine emotion to the floor. Even in simple studio clothes without the full stagewear, the power behind this dance is unmistakable. We truly can't wait to share this piece with you at our event!

Join us on November 20th for a wonderful night of delicious food, music, performances, and open dancing for all!

Channeling our inner warriors in studio tonight!

We had so much fun diving into Class #3 of our Viking Shieldmaiden series. This fantastical theatrical fusion brings together heavy rhythms, powerful movement, and an awesome sense of community among the dancers.

Here are a few of the ladies who joined us tonight—just part of the wonderful team bringing this Shieldmaiden vision to life!

They’ll be taking the stage at our Viking Feast Day on Friday, November 20th. Gather your friends, update your calendar, and come feast, dance, and celebrate the new season with us!

Before the march began... the fairies gathered.

The Arabesque crew had such a blast at the Frankfort Thriller Parade last night! Stepping out of the studio and onto the parade route as mischievous fairies was the perfect way to kick off our fall event lineup.

Huge thanks to the organizers and everyone who cheered us on along the way!
