Chris Goodman Comes Home to the Arkansas Punishers

Some folks just have a way of finding their way back home.

The Arkansas Punishers are proud to welcome back Chris Goodman as General Manager, bringing back a familiar face, a proven leader, and someone who has been part of the Punishers story from the beginning.

Goodman previously served as the Punishers’ General Manager and helped build the foundation that has grown into the organization we know today. Since his departure, he’s spent time working in the professional arena leagues, gaining valuable experience and seeing firsthand what it takes to operate and grow a program at the next level.

Now, he’s bringing that experience back to Arkansas.

And there’s something special about that.

Chris already knows this organization, knows the people behind it, and understands what the Arkansas Punishers are all about. His time away has only added to that knowledge, giving him another set of tools to help move the program forward both on the field and right here in the community we call home.

“Excited to be back with the program and continue working on everything that’s been built! I believe my time in the professional world will bring a ton of value to the mission of the Arkansas Punishers and what we aim to do in the community!”

The Punishers have always believed this is about more than football. It’s about Arkansas, it’s about community, and it’s about building something people can be proud to call their own.

With Chris Goodman back in the fold, we’re looking forward to continuing the work, building on the foundation, and seeing just how far we can take this thing together.

📰 Conway Turns Defense Into Difference-Maker in GDFL Week 6

Former Des Arc Eagle (C/O ‘18) Coryon Conway continues to prove that versatility is one of his biggest weapons.

After making the transition from quarterback and receiver to cornerback, the Arkansas Punishers standout delivered another impact performance in GDFL Week 6, earning Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Conway finished with 7 tackles, 3 pass breakups and an interception, consistently showing the ability to use his length and athleticism in coverage while still making plays downhill in the run game.

For a player still developing at the position, Conway’s growth has become one of the more intriguing stories on the Punishers defense. His ball skills and ability to close on receivers have made him a legitimate problem for opposing quarterbacks.

The former offensive standout is quickly becoming a defensive playmaker and Week 6 was another step forward.
