What unexpected news we have received 🥹🥹🥹

Pueblita has been recognized as a **2026 Latino Heritage Month Honoree** by the California State Senate District 33 office Lena Gonzalez

What started with homemade tortillas and a simple desire to bring people together has grown into community runs, wellness events, cultural experiences, fundraisers, and spaces where people can feel seen, welcomed, and connected.

This recognition belongs to every person who has shown up, volunteered, collaborated with us, bought a pack of tortillas, joined us for a run, donated, shared our work, or simply believed in what we’re building.

Pueblita has always been rooted in the idea that community takes care of community and being recognized for that work during Latino Heritage Month means more than we can put into words.

Gracias to the Senator’s office for this honor, and gracias siempre to our community for continuing to grow with us. 🤎🫂❤️‍🔥

A little Pueblita lore for los nuevos por aquí 🌽✨

Hola, I’m Sandy, founder, tortilla lady, community event schemer, and professional “wait…I have an idea” person. 🤭

What started in my kitchen in 2020 with homemade corn tortillas quickly grew into attending and organizing protests, pop-ups, fundraisers, run clubs, and community events all over Long Beach.

Pueblita was built con mucho amor, inspired by mi familia, and rooted in the belief that celebrating our culture also means showing up for our people. 🤎

Come for the tortillas, quédate por la comunidad.

Bienvenidos a Pueblita 🫶🌽

La Vuelta de LA, that’s a wrap 🏃‍♀️🌽❤️

This summer, we ran across LA, built community, and raised $2,242 along the way.🥹 We donated to both Organizing Rooted in Abolition, Liberation & Empowerment (ÓRALE) and Global Empowerment Mission

A huge GRACIAS to every run club, Pilates studio, runner, and community member who welcomed Pueblita with open arms. We truly couldn’t have done this without el pueblo. 🫶🏽

LONG BEACH, WE DID THAT. 🌽🏃‍♀️🔥

Our La Vuelta de LA Long Beach 5K raised $900 for Organizing Rooted in Abolition, Liberation & Empowerment (ÓRALE) all because our community showed up. 🤎

Every person who ran, walked, donated, reposted, brought a friend, volunteered, or simply helped spread the word played a part in this. 🥹

La Vuelta has always been about more than running. It’s about moving through our neighborhoods together, taking up space, building community, and using what we create to give back to the people doing the work on the ground.

Thank you, Long Beach, for showing us what “Solo el pueblo salva al pueblo” looks like in action. 🫂

$900 raised. One community. Muchísimas gracias. 🌽❤️
