People understand needing a sponsor when youâre trying to get off drugs, but nobody talks about needing a sponsor when youâre addicted to your own thoughts. The thoughts that tell you to quit before you try the thoughts that tell you he doesnât love me because he didnât do this or that. The thoughts that convince you silence means rejection. The thoughts that make you wait for somebody else approval before you decide how you feel for the day.
and thatâs an addiction too because youâve gotten so used to believe in everything. Your mind tells you that you donât even question anymore. You need somebody who can catch you in the middle of your own stuff, somebody you can call and say OK this is the story. Iâm telling myself tell me what we actually know.
healing learning that a thought can knock on the door without you giving that a key you can feel rejected without deciding youâve been rejected. Your thoughts can have a voice without having the final say so .
We learn how to communicate the facts and not get mad at the story we tell ourselves.

When youâre the vibe, You donât need constant communication just to prove a connection still exists.
Everything is already working out. Iâm blessed beyond measure, and Iâm still expecting it to turn out better than I ever imaginedđŞđž
You ever find yourself treating a situation like the last situation, and you donât even realize youâre doing it until after the damage is done? Now you looking back like, damn, I made a mistake. This person wasnât doing what the last person did. I responded to what I was afraid was going to happen instead of what was actually happening. I made a decision based on an experience I already survived and brought that s**t into something that had nothing to do with it.
Everybody is not the person who hurt you, and if you donât deal with what happened to you, youâll keep making new people pay old bills.

On a date was nervous until I hit the stage and they went away
Donât make a permanent decision because you need a temporary boundary. Thereâs a difference between protecting what youâre building and making decisions out of fear.
Fear can cause more fighting in the relationship than actually fighting for the relationship. Because everything isnât worth fighting for either. Sometimes we fight so hard because we really want the person, without stopping to ask if we actually want everything that comes with them.
Their character. Their lifestyle. The way they communicate. The way they love.
Wanting somebody badly doesnât automatically mean the relationship is worth keeping. So before you fight for love, make sure youâre fighting for something you actually want not just somebody youâre afraid to lose!

And honestly, I donât want a coach, mentor, therapist, or trainer putting on a show like they have everything together. Thatâs not human! I donât want people around me pretending to be âperfectâ because perfect isnât realistic. I want real. You can be good at what you do, help other people through what theyâre going through, and still have days when YOU are going through it.

Wherever you are in your journey, letâs find your way back to YOU.
Do you want the person standing in front of you right now, or are you staying because of who you hope theyâll eventually become? Because âweâve been through too much to leaveâ isnât always love. Sometimes itâs history, obligation, guilt, or simply being afraid all those years will feel wasted.
Iâm talking about that and a whole lot more on The Space In Between Podcast by Coletta Alyseđď¸

Sometimes I wonder if communication is even worth it.
Because whatâs the point of explaining exactly how you feel if somebody is still going to replace your words with the version that makes sense to them?
I still believe in communication.
I just learned that speaking clearly doesnât guarantee being understoodâĽď¸ but have an amazing day!!!!
Sometimes hate isnât the opposite of love. You can be so angry with somebody and still love them. You can hate how deeply it affected you, and still not hate the person at all. And I think thatâs why the line gets so thin.
Healing is learning how to let yourself be angry without turning love into hate just because love didnât turn out the way you wanted it to. Sometimes the truth is simply: I love you, and I hate that this hurts. Both can exist at the same time.
