Carter Lake Sailing Club (CLSC) was founded in 1953 to promote sailing on the then new man-made moun
We pride ourselves in our friendly, easy-going atmosphere and great sailing. We have lively and fun activities, great potluck dinners, competitive racing and great camaraderie! CLSC also offers secured docks, a clubhouse complete with kitchen and camping facilities available to its members.
And the winners of the Carter Lake Sailing Club 67th Open Regatta conducted June 13 and 14 are. . .
J22 fleet: I'll Have Another, first place; CAVU, second place; and Island Spirit, third place.
Santana fleet: Bad Altitude, first place; Mjolnir, second place; and Space Ghost, third place.
PHRF A fleet: Mucho Gusto, first place; Timbrel, second place; and Island Spirit, third place.
PHRF A fleet: Raven, first place; Music, second place; and Imagine, third place.
Portsmouth fleet: Snowball, first place; Millie Grace, second place; and Nessie, third place.
Laser fleet: Jeremiah Sailer, first place; Troy, Cocek, second place; and Eric Otte, third place.

Come join the fun on Saturday, May 16, at CLSC's first potluck of the season. Reconnect with fellow members. Meet new members, And enjoy a bowl of chili, plus a wide array of appetizers, sides and desserts. An email from Social Chair Andrea provided info regarding what you are being asked to contribute to the meal. Happy hour will start 4:45-5 p.m. followed by dinner around 5:30 p.m. Let's make this first potluck one to remember!

If you recently joined Carter Lake Sailing Club, then join fellow newbies at New Member Orientation on Saturday, May 16, at the Clubhouse. Start time: 4:15 p.m. You'll learn how to make the most of your membership, plus hear from Club officers and committee chairs. After the orientation, join fellow Club members for CLSC's first potluck of the season. Hope to see you there.

CLSC members once again worked as a team and got the docks in the lake on Saturday, March 28. Thank you to all Club members who contributed to this highly successful day. And a special thank you to Dock Meister Bill Fritz for organizing and overseeing this annual Club work day. Look for more photos in the Club's April newsletter.
