NHL draft prospect Cole Tuminaro hoping to take next step in underdog journey Tuminaro, a Rockford native and Chicago Steel product, has a good chance to get drafted in his second year eligible, which would be a nice reward for lots of hard work. He's one of four Illinois natives in the draft pool this year.

It was a busy weekend at Riverview Ice House for the Junior IceHogs’ Chuck Ellis Tournament. Both rinks were filled with athletes and spectators throughout the day, and the lobby along with our outdoor street hockey setup stayed busy from start to finish!

We remember Chuck as a hockey parent of five, and an exemplary volunteer coach for our program. He helped build the culture and vision of our Junior IceHogs and believed hockey could be used to teach important life lessons to young athletes. His legacy and the values he brought to coaching continue to be carried on by our coaches today.
