The Lower Burrell Flyers Football & Cheer program has proudly served our community since 1956. We offer flag and tackle football as well as cheerleading.

We focus on teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and community pride for athletes Pre-K through 6th. Since 1956, the Lower Burrell Flyers have established a cherished tradition of nurturing youth football and cheer. We are proudly part of the KFFL, introducing more competitive opportunities for our young athletes. The Flyers organization is committed to ensuring that every child who wishes to par

Today, we took the time to honor and show our appreciation for the incredible men and women who have served our country, our community, and our hometown. 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Salute to Service game so special.

A HUGE shoutout to the brave young ladies who stepped up and took on our National Anthem today. That takes courage, and we could not be more proud or grateful for each of you. You girls did an amazing job! 🇺🇸🎤

Thank you to our Chief for making the special trip out to join us for our coin toss and help us recognize those who serve our community.

And an extra special thank you to the veterans who are part of our Flyers coaching staff. We are incredibly proud to have men who have served our country now giving their time, leadership, and heart to the next generation of Flyers.

Saturday, September 5, 2026
Burrell High School

As we celebrate our 70th season, we would be honored to have the men and women who serve our country and our community join us for a special Salute to Service Game Day.

We invite active-duty and retired military personnel, veterans, police officers, firefighters, EMS/EMTs, emergency dispatchers, and other service members to attend any of our games throughout the day.

🏈 GAME TIMES
Plebes / Flag — 2:00 PM
Recruits D3 — 3:00 PM
Cadets D2 — 5:00 PM
Flyers D1 — 7:00 PM • Under the Lights

During each game, we will pause to recognize and thank the service members and first responders in attendance.

🌭 A MEAL IS ON US-bring identification with you!

As a small token of our appreciation, each qualifying service member or retiree is invited to enjoy one complimentary hot dog and pop or water from the Flyers concession stand.

Please bring a form of identification showing your service or affiliation (military/veteran ID, department ID, badge, credentials, or another appropriate form of identification) and present the attached Salute to Service Meal Ticket at the concession stand.

Please share this invitation with the members of your department, station, unit, or organization. We would love to have you join us.

🏈 STEELER SQUARE FOOTBALL POOL — SUPPORT THE LOWER BURRELL FLYERS! 🖤💛

We’re kicking off a football pool fundraiser to help support the Lower Burrell Flyers, with proceeds going toward our end-of-the-year banquet!

For $100, you purchase ONE square for the entire Steelers regular season — not just one game!

That means your square gives you 68 chances to win throughout the season — 4 chances during each of the 17 regular-season Steelers games!

💰 PAYOUTS EACH GAME:
🏈 1st Quarter — $50
🏈 Halftime — $100
🏈 3rd Quarter — $50
🏈 Final Score — $200

That’s up to $400 in payouts every Steelers game!

HOW IT WORKS

Choose an available square from 1–100 on the board. Once the squares are selected, numbers 0–9 will be randomly assigned to the rows and columns for each team/game.

Your assigned numbers represent the last digit of each team’s score, giving you a chance to win at the end of the 1st quarter, halftime, 3rd quarter and final score.

Your $100 square stays yours for the entire Steelers regular season.

🟨 Squares that are bold/highlighted on the board have already been purchased.
⬜ All other squares are currently available on a first come, first served basis.

TO RESERVE YOUR SQUARE

Send payment through Venmo or pay cash at the concession stand during practice.

When entering, please include:
Full name • Phone number • Email address • Square number(s) you'd like

Your square is officially secured once payment is received.

📣 Winning numbers will be posted on Facebook, and winners will also receive an email.

If all squares are not sold by 9/5, unsold squares will be blacked out. If a blacked-out square wins, those funds will roll over to the next winning opportunity. Payouts may be adjusted if all 100 squares are not sold.

Every square purchased helps support our Flyers and their end-of-year celebration. 🖤💛

This Saturday is more than just GAME DAY — it’s FAMILY DAY! ✈️🏈📣

Before each division takes the field, we’ll take a few special minutes to recognize the families who make our Flyers season possible.

Each child will be announced by name, run out to meet their family, give them a small token of appreciation, and stop for a Family Day photo together. 🖤💛

These kids put so much into their season, but we know there’s a whole family behind every jersey and every bow — driving to practices, showing up on game days, volunteering, cheering, and supporting them along the way.

LEGACY GAME UPDATE — NEW DATE! 🖤💛

Flyers Family, Alumni & Friends —

Due to this weekend’s game being relocated to Burrell High School because of field conditions, we have made the decision to move our 70th Anniversary Legacy Celebration to our final home game of the season.

Our Legacy Celebration was created to honor 70 years of Flyers history on the field where so much of that history was made — and we want to make sure we do it right.

Even better, our new date gives us the opportunity to bring generations of Flyers together for one incredibly special day.

Our returning Flyers alumni will form the Legacy Tunnel as our graduating Flyers are announced and walk through — honoring where we came from while celebrating the young athletes who will carry the Flyers legacy forward.

70 YEARS. GENERATIONS OF FLYERS. ONE FIELD.

Additional details and alumni arrival information will be announced as we get closer to September 19.
