🎃 Halloween Week at UMF: Part 1! 👻

We had too much Halloween fun to fit into one post! Here are our first 10 photos from a week filled with costumes, dancing, games, and treats! 🧡💜

Behind all those smiles was plenty of learning! Our Halloween activities had dancers practicing balance, reviewing ballet steps, and exploring quiet, gentle movements and big, bold ones across the floor. Building coordination, listening skills, and creativity can look a lot like play! 🩰✨

Thank you to our families and staff for making the week so special. Watch for Part 2 for even more Halloween memories! 📸

Stepping up and standing out! ✨💖

Olivia was selected to demonstrate during progressions with Julie Kay at Encore Dance Experience in Texas! What a special opportunity to put her training into action and continue learning alongside so many talented dancers.

So proud of you, Olivia! Keep working, keep growing, and keep loving what you do. 🫶

Small-town studio. Big moments. 🔥💖

Olivia brought her energy to hip-hop with Geo Hubela at Encore Dance Experience in Texas—and was one of the dancers selected in a room full of talent! We’re so proud to see her putting herself out there and making the most of these opportunities.

Watch her in action! 🎥🙌

✨ Bringing a little Texas inspiration back to UMF! ✨

Miss Samantha and Miss Olivia had an incredible time in Dallas at Encore Dance Experience! A weekend filled with learning, inspiration, and dance—we came home excited to bring that energy back to our studio! 💗

Encore brought together an amazing faculty:
🌟 Geo Hubela — Hip-Hop
🌟 Julie Kay Stallcup jkstallcup— Progressions & Teacher
🌟 Tye Love — Ballet
🌟 Marinda Davis marinspirations — Contemporary
🌟 Sean Quinn — Tap & Musical Theater
🌟 Paloma Garcia-Lee palomagarcialee— Stylized Jazz & Jazz

Having access to this level of instruction is such a valuable opportunity to grow, explore new movement, and learn from different perspectives!

One of our proudest highlights? Olivia had the opportunity to demonstrate during Julie Kay Stallcup’s Progressions class and was one of the students selected during Geo Hubela’s hip-hop class (watch for videos tomorrow)! Watching her put herself out there and embrace these opportunities made the weekend even more special. 🖤

Miss Samantha also took classes, bringing home fresh ideas and inspiration to continue strengthening the experience we offer our UMF dancers and families. Learning never stops—for our students or our teachers!

Thank you, Encore Dance Experience, for hosting an amazing event and creating a space where dancers and educators can grow together. We absolutely love everything Encore offers and are so grateful for this experience! ✨
