We recently did a little survey at TRIFIT TRAINING & WELLNESS of our training clients on what each person felt was the most challenging part of the major 3 health & wellness areas for each of them: 1) Exercise 2) Sleep/Recovery 3) Nutrition…And the winner is? Sleep/Recovery!

When working on bettering our health & fitness we often focus so much on our exercise & nutrition (which are both very important), BUT of equal importance as well is our sleep/recovery.

When we workout we are basically tearing down our bodies a little bit at a time. When we eat & drink we are fueling our workouts and providing our bodies nutrients to function and heal from our activities, but when do we do most of that healing, growing, & recovering-when we sleep! Without quality sleep those workouts and all of that healthy eating doesn’t work as efficiently as it all could. This is what we really try and focus on Trifit Training & Wellness-being in that healthy long life, long-term zone. Focusing on athletic extremes like running marathons, doing CrossFit, bodybuilding, power lifting etc can lead to a broken down body…and a pain filled shortened life.

I love it when my clients put in the work away from their sessions TRIFIT TRAINING & WELLNESS at their home/work/second gyms AND in their kitchens with their nutrition. The training sessions only work well when this happens. As personal trainers, we see our clients typically for 2-3 hours a week, but it’s the other 165-166 hours of the week that really matter and make that session training time as effective as possible💪😊

Look at these 6 month progress results from ‼️ They are golden💪😊. From 226lbs down to 219. BUT, what’s the best part⁉️ That weight loss is all fat-no muscle loss‼️ In fact, he has GAINED 6lbs of muscle‼️ Thus, his body composition has gone from 26% down to 19%-a 7% decrease in only 6 months…

How did he do this⁉️ He got into the gym and started lifting weights with us consistently 2-3 times a week, AND he worked on changing his diet-getting more quality protein and fats in and lowering his carbohydrate intake especially from higher glycemic carbs. He’s done all of this while working a very demanding schedule of a physician/surgeon

Jeff, keep up the great work in AND away from the gym bud! We are excited to see what the next 6 months will bring for you💪😊 Alabama

It’s a ‘Roll Tide-Goal Tide’ weekend for this young man, ! Andrew was in the Million Dollar Band at Alabama, and now he feels like a million bucks after hitting his goal of losing 70 pounds!…He was an in person training client of mine for several months a couple of years back. We have stayed in touch after he got married, became a father, and focused more on his career. He took a break for a little while after training with me, but we stayed in touch and he made the decision to get back on the healthy lifestyle path about a year ago. And, in 11 months he’s hit his goal and he’s not stopping there…

I am SO proud of this guy for several reasons. He’s taking back control of his health which will affect every area of his life. But, I’m extra proud of him because he did this without me having to stand next to him for each workout. He got to his work gym every week, did the work at home too with his workouts, and got his nutrition in check. He did most of the coaching himself which is much harder for most people to do. I did help him some along the way, but he did the vast majority of the work of keeping himself on the right path; holding himself accountable, and staying disciplined…

Andrew, I’ll know you’ll keep the activity up and keep the weight off as you put more muscle on. I can’t wait to see what goal you accomplish next💪😊

has to wish this special lady, who’s also a client, a VERY Happy Birthday! Her and her husband, (also a training client), are down in Miami celebrating her birthday and we wanted to give them both some props for all the hard work they’ve put in over the last 6 months in the gym and away from it with their nutrition…Don’t they both look amazing?! They have super demanding schedules as they are both physicians, BUT they have made their health and fitness a priority and it definitely shows…HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY Claudie! 💪🎉💪🎊💪🎁 ❤️

‘Hey look at this!’ 2 YEAR TRANSFORMATION using scans from one of our amazing clients, Laurie Z!

Laurie has been working hard for 2 years now strength training with us 2-3 times a week. She also does Pilates 2-4 hours a week and she has been very focused on her nutrition-using the to help her with her daily macros and calorie intake. She’s lost over 50lbs of fat…but best of all…she’s also maintained her muscle mass while getting leaner. Did she use any version of the weight loss shot? No she did not. Did she take anything to help speed up her weight loss? No she did not

Laurie lost the weight, kept the muscle(and her curves), and went from almost 40% body fat to less than 19% the right way-via hard consistent work in the gym and in her kitchen. Wanna be like Laurie? Then send us a message and let’s have a convo! 💪

It’s a fresh sour dough kinda’ day at today! We baked a loaf for a client(only $10), brought some for someone that wants to start baking with it, and also ordered a beeswax bag for another client that wants to keep their sour dough fresher during the week…There is healthy bread out there! It’s just not going to be at your local grocer typically. Message us for info on how you can enjoy super healthy bread(in moderation)💪🍞
